What vintage porn movies have dark storylines? I don't mean anything like incest or anything like that, but just stories that people today would consider to be controversial, I guess? Heavy tones, dark themes etc.

On second thought Pretty Peaches is probably the better pick than Babyface.
Babyface definitely deals with taboo subject matter but Pretty Peaches, despite being a comedy, has more extreme content like rape played for laughs, etc.
Through the Looking Glass, it's dark & you get a touch of incest(which you aren't looking for I know). I really think it's the best golden age porn movie with Bad Girls, but the film quality I have seen sucks.
I just finished watching Corruption and I loved it. The aesthetic is really cool, the women are shot so well and look really beautiful, and the music is awesome. I especially loved the scenes where he was looking through the peepholes in the doors, I thought that was well done. So far, it's definitely my favourite vintage porn movie, alongside Roommates.

It isn't rational, closer to a Lynch film so its working on dream logic. It has been a while since I've seen it but as I recall there is the suggestio he has lost his soul (the briefcase a potential symbol of having sold his soul).
