So I recently realized that most of the dating sites out there are total scams.
for example, Just yesterday I realized that xxxmatch.com just has a bunch of actors on there. You'll get very dry and short responses from girls and the conversation really goes no where.
Then, if you register-but don't pay for the service (the standard version) all of a sudden you are bombarded with offers to meet in person, be friends, email messages. I got about 6 the first day (this is AFTER I had already registered and paid on other account). Now my profile was intentionally boring, with almost no information. One of the offers to meet in person was from the girl I had been talking to on the other account.
I was curious if anyone else got scammed by a site, if so, which one? And please... spare me the "Well... duh!" comments-I don't think I'm an idiot for thinking that a dating site is not paying men to pose as women to keep you on there for months as that is fraud, and generally a site/company defrauding people doesn't last too long. I plan to report it and get charges removed off my credit card and then contact the California attorney general. And... imagine being one of these "actors", I just can't imagine making my living by tricking innocent people, and don't get me started on the karmic implications!
I never thought getting a simple 3some for an attractive couple would be so hard!

Update-just got a full refund from the site when I mentioned "attorney general", go figure. Then I sent some nasty emails to the 2 actors who had wasted my time. Unbelievable!

So far the only one I think is real is adultfriendfinder.com. They are the least of evils. The only scam they seem to pull is this: Keeping outdated profiles (members who quit) around for at least months, likely years after they quit. They also seem to let spammers put up fake profiles and take their time removing them. I've seen many profiles with pictures of the same soft porn girls, such as "Next Door Nicky" and Allison what's her name.
But we did meet a real girl (in our town) on there.
Seems like these are ways to tell if they are real:
1/ They will be willing to chat on a 3rd party messenger like yahoo messenger.
2/ What they say will fit their profile.
3/ They will write longer emails.
4/ They will appear to have an IQ higher than 80.
5/ They won't consistently take 24 hours to respond to emails.

Crazy shit, there used to be good dating sites, now they are almost all scams. Almost all online stuff is becoming bullshit.
