With some exceptions, lesbian movies seem to fall into two categories - the 'softer' films such as those made by Girlfriends and Lesbea, focusing on breasts and pussies; and the more extreme anal films such as Everything Butt and the Evil Angel team of directors. For fans like me of the 'middle ground' there are fewer and fewer movies every year.
By 'middle ground' I mean the combination of sensual and passionate scenes involving anal play; in other words, those that show girls in relaxed positions taking tongues and a finger or two in the ass as part of the overall sexual experience. For many, this is a million times more of a turn on than watching girls submit to rectal medical examinations; or contorting their rectal muscles to admit toys the size of Apollo 11.
It used to be that we could look towards Europe and the Viv Thomas/Lesbian Provocateur/21sextury studios for erotic anal lesbian play. Sadly, these have fallen into decline with Viv Thomas being swallowed up by the 'softcore' Girlfriends Films stable, and 21sextury lesbianism seemingly abandoning anal play altogether (director John Walton - what has happened to you?).
There are the occasional exceptions when those like Dana Vespoli (lots more scenes (please, please, please) like that with Bree Daniels in Twisted Lesbian Spit Play) and Christoph Clark when he manages to restrain himself, turn in some decent scenes. But there aren't enough. The demise of Viv Thomas movies has been particularly painful. Will we ever see the like of his golden era, with Vera, Lisa, Jo, Sophie Moon and others using a finger to stimulate their partner's ass. For examples of many great VT scenes see Lisa and Black Widow (Pink Velvet); Jo and Kylie (Sisters); and contender for the best - Vera and Sandy (Mayfair Private Practice) - mentally sexy. Beautifully lit and photographed with full body shots showing the anal action and the girls' faces as they get turned on.
So who agrees/disagrees? Oh, and by the way; all you directors on the more extreme side - what exactly is so sexy about girls sucking huge lumps of plastic? And what could be more fake than girls who, at the merest touch from their partner, launch themselves into laughable contortions, screaming 'Oh God, oh God, yeah yeah yeah, oh fuck oh fuck?' Yeuch.
Maybe Reality Kings could fit more anal fingering into the WLT series -they includes tons of rimming; why not slip a finger in as well? And if they could get Malena Morgan to settle back into a couch/armchair, pull her legs up next to her ears and take a lubed up finger in her rear, I would die a happy man. Anal play is so much sexier from the front than from behind.
