My friend never received his copy, and in the meantime I ordered and watched it. Well, first of all, I will admit that this is my very first Annie movie (I've read a lot of her work, but not seen her movies) and I was blown away. Amazing. But you all have probably seen it and want to know about quality - the box and packaging is divine, giving the sense that the studio are proud of this production - a lot of care seems to have gone into this release. The set includes a finger puppet of Annie (you cut holes in her thighs and poke your fingers through), as well as a rather impressive booklet documenting the making of the movie, written by adult film historian Benson Hurst. The film itself looks and sounds great - beautiful, in fact. Remastered from the original 35mm print, and it's uncut. And on a side note, is this the best edited porn movie of all time?? I kept thinking about Mason. Annie was way ahead of her time. Overall, this is a must-buy. And I recommend getting it from Annie's own website, not only because it would probably benefit her, but also because you get a neat letter with your DVD, packed with interesting information on pink paper, addressed to "Patron of the Exotic Arts" and signed by Annie with "breast wishes." I have yet to peruse the other two discs, but they include a commentary by Annie on one disc, and an interview, two bonus scenes, and the trailer on the third disc. [Link] |
