| abradarba Member 89 Posts 2/04 | If DeluxePass is all original content as claimed, it's a stunning deal - I've heard around here that it's not, like AdultBouncer isn't. To me it looks like it's not exactly all original. What's the skinny? Seriously. Fer example - there are Jules Jordan movies on there, along with a ton of other stuff. Licensed? Ripped off? Anyway, if the vids are "converted from DVD," how can they be "original?" Here is a quote from PornLiving: (www.pornliving.com - porn site reviews) [Link] |

They also exploited every studio whose product is in that network of 1,000 sites including Redlight District, Zero Tolerance, Devils Films and others. I know how much those web licenses are worth - not much. They are in New Jersey laughing their asses off at everybody rolling in millions of dollars. I try to warn people, offer advice, suggest better ways but it usually falls on deaf ears. Just as in the HIV outbreak it's an industry that really doesn't want to help itself. I see some more exploitation going on with another major outfit. Skeeter Kerkove please email me to discuss, i might be wrong about this and I need to talk to somebody whose content i see being used in a way I don't think it was intended to be. ally@inforamp.net is my email |

By rights then I think it would be fair to draw the conclusion that if AB still works on pretty dodgy ground then Deluxepass will be at least as bad. SNP. |
| *Mutt* Deactivated User 752 Posts 8/03 | Deluxe Pass was put in business by Adult Bouncer - provided the hosting, the programming, everything the same. There is no difference between the two. There are others who have taken the same concept and more everday - the Adult Internet is a copycat business, when somebody is making big money the ideas get copied over and over. My concern for the studios lessens every day, most are ignorant and at some point if you want to leave your car in the driveway with they keys in the ignition over and over, when some scumbag drives away with it it's hard to be feel sorry. Jules Jordan is taking care of business, suing the ass off Adult Bouncer. |
| valjean4876 Member 953 Posts 3/04 | It's important to me because I also create media that some think it's okay to steal. Just because it's with electrons instead of hacksaws, doesn't make it moral. |

I work with all three companies pretty closely, and they have never (ever!) licensed their content to third parties for internet/download. In fact, it's specifically excluded from the licensing we do for distributing their titles in the US. Scott Kinney |
| Hardware All-Star Member Your other left 14595 Posts 3/02 | 1) Why would the company making these movies and selling them for X dollars on their own website and through distributors turn around and undercut their own business by selling cheap licenses to other web sites? 2) Why would a web site operator pay for a licensing fee without exclusivity? It isn't like bricks and mortar where you can license for your geographic area. If every Tom, Dick and Harry can set up a web site and buy the same licenses then how in the world can you figure out what a license is worth? disclaimer: people have been known to make stupid business decisions, so the fact that web licensing looks like a losing proposition doesn't necessarily mean it isn't being done. |
| Mandi* Pixies Emporium Platinum Media - The Cure for Common Porn 21 Posts 1/04 | Mutt's makes some good points, but we need to turn a few things around. The Owners of DeluxePass Own A large Hosting Company in New Jersey and were Hosting Several Big sites . Adult Bouncer, Teen-School.com, Teen-High.com and greatsexu. Several years ago, they decided they should "get into" the business and had their DeluxePass front end designed. The content at that time came right off the very sites they were hosting along with several video websites across the net. Most of the offenders were the people building thier sites under the DP unbrella. DP themselves did not steal content like AB did. This, of course, was when the legal issues came to bare with both AB and DP and so they came up with this guy in Canada. He "Claimed" he had the rights to produce and distribute every movie made. That's the line they started "selling" people until the lawyers got involved again. It's the same with most of these "Movie" sites .. all they do is rent or buy the movie, rip it into mpg or wmv format and say they have a license for it. Funny thing is the studios and production companies knew of no such deal. btw . on a Personal Note ... we know this because we were one of the companies who went after AB when they were using our material two years ago. We also Know that DP has been working on getting their content "Act" together, but with as many sites as they now have, I feel they are going to have a hard time keeping people on the legal "track"
