I really enjoy the behind-the-scene feature on dvd's. One thing I would say is that if they run longer than 10 mins, and if they dont interview enough people it gets boring. Wicked DVD does the best on the special features. I would also enjoy masturbation scenes added instead of behind-the-scenes.

I know there are a ton of people wanting good masturbation DVDs. I, personally, love behind the scenes. What was really great about Dream Quest's behind the scenes is that it actually documented each day of shooting - instead of many others which are basically extra footage edited together to make a featurette.

I don't think you need big name stars. I just think you need to do something different - like natural girls without tons of makeup who don't look like a postcard for southern CA. There's enough word of mouth to get a quality DVD attention without star specific hype.

Testing with VHS wouldn't really work anyway - the DVD audience is a different audience - as are the sales channels.

The reasons I have not bought any of the ALS
DVD's, for example, have to do with their relatively high price, and the perception that giving my credit card details to a company such as ALS (or any of the for-pay adult websites) could be more risky than dealing with an online DVD retailer who are not themselves in the content-producing business, and might in fact not be limited to adult material.

I am not sure if this perception has anything to do with reality, or if it is shared with others.

Masturbation scenes are always good, if the girl doing it is comfortable with the situation, and perhaps involves the viewer in the action by talking. (But not so that it sounds fake or rehearsed.)

Not using big name stars would indeed be better for this.

The big stars have developed their routines, and it may be difficult to get them do anything sexual in front of the camera without their porn star mask on.

Other than the masturbation scenes, any spontaneous moments where the girl's personality and sense of humor comes through, would be nice. Try to get her to laugh.

I would definately buy this product. Though I agree with Steph in that "testing" the release on VHS won't work since a lot of the DVD market no longer buys VHS and vice versa. But I love the Behind the Scenes features on interviews on my DVD's. I usually watch them before I watch the movie. Though keep the questions real and not standard. Also forget the bigger name stars unless they are still new. While I love seeing girls like Janine, Asia, Nina etc do this type of feature they have been around enough that most of the information is already known. The newer girls tend to be the unknowns that everyone is interested in finding out about. If you do release this please let us know.
