And in Chicago. She opened her show tonight in a Catherine Zeta-Jones wig doing the "All That Jazz" number. Good dancing, a nice nod to traditional burlesque, and very appropriate, of course.
I'm not really a fan of feature dance shows, so I don't go very often, but Devinn's had a lot of personality. During the second song, she pulled one of the house girls up onto the stage and had her way with her -- Devinn put the girl on her knees, hands behind her back, and made her pull off her panties with her teeth. Then she put the girl face down on the stage, straddled her back and rode her, using the panties in her mouth as the reins. I don't know if I described that very well, but let's just say it was pretty cool.
It didn't seem pre-planned. I forgot to ask when I went up to say hello later. I'll probably go again one of the next couple of nights, so we'll see if it happens again.
Anyway, it was very entertaining. Like I said, I haven't seen a ton of feature shows (let's see: Christy Canyon, Kobe Tai, Ashlyn Gere, a few other more minor names) but this was definitely the best of them.
I was shocked at this thread for a second and then I remembered that the Admiral Theater has lots of adult stars dance there. I might have to go check this out.
Crud, in chicago? Thats only 4 hours away. Anyone care to fill in the times and what not or have a link to a site that does it. I'm pretty busy with the end of the semester coming but it sound fun and alot closer then LA.
I have to say, watching Devinn Lane live on stage was awesome. She performed a stage show with Kristal Summers. Both ladies are gorgeous. After their stage show, you can get a Polaroid picture with Devinn Lane and Kristal Summers. It was well worth the money to not only take a picture with them, but to talk to them afterwards. If you have not seen her at the Admiral Theatre in Chicago, you have until Thursday night. Don't miss her. Last time she was in Chicago was 4 years ago.
Last time I was at the Admiral Theatre was March 31st, 2001 when Alisha Klass was the feature guest star. They did some remodeling. The regular dancers at the Admiral are also beautiful.
Devinn, nice picture, you can touch my monkey if you like.
I forgot to mention that the best hotel, that money can buy in Chicago, is "The Peninsula" on Superior Street.
So nice to meet you last night. Thank you so much all you ADT'ers for coming out to see me. I'm really flaterred that you did. Kristal is a great girl. She's never danced so I'm trying hard to get her out there so that she can move on and do it on her own one day. She's very close to doing that and I'm proud of her. I'll have to remember that hotel next time I'm in town. I like the W Lakeshore too. Monkey.................oooohahaohhhaaahaooohaoooo. :) Have a great day and thanks again.
Obibong, you rule! Great dinner with great people. I'm sure our table stuck out like a sore thumb there. Thanks for the insight on the place. Didn't really know it was a man's world in there. Then again, I'm comfortable playing in the same field as the boys. Thank you for the gifts. Priceless. You must travel a bit to know the basic necessities a girl needs on the road.
I live in Chicago and no one asked me for dinner and a show if I knew you were going to be in town I would've come to see you Devinn, but I still have two more days
You know, I didn't really get into the half of it. It's an old favorite of Sinatra's, and reputedly was where "connected" people liked to gather back in the day. It definitely has a lot of character -- but shaking up a crowd like that is the fun of it. They can definitely use more patrons like you.
It was definitely a great evening for me. It's one thing to be a fan of an actress, another to be able to say you admire the person. I really appreciate your generosity in time and spirit that now allows me to say both.
I just wish you had more of a chance to do other "Chicago stuff." The shows make the timing tough, but we should really get you out to a blues bar or something.
Devinn, I think Kristal will do very well on her own if she chooses to.
Don't forget to shop at the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Ave.) while you are here. "The Drake" is also a great hotel. Rive Gauche is my favorite club on Halsted. Metromix is a good web site for Chicago Restaurants, Clubs, Bars, etc.
Once again, take advantage of Chicago while you are here. Take care.
You,Obibong and Squirtfan1 kick ass!!!!!!!!!!!! Twice in one week. Squirtfan1 you rule too. I love that I can meet people here first and then see you all in person. Murmur, remember "the guy" with the fake "thing"? Don't ever be that guy. I won't talk to you again. 99.9% of the people I meet are cool.....the other is a little strange. None of you here fall into that small catagory, BTW. Whoa!!!!!!! Glad you got to see the roller skate show, even without the pole.
xoxo Devinn p.s. speaking of Pole...... Where is Peter North?
And it occurs to me that in some kind of misguided effort to seem like less of an abject suck-up, I didn't mention to you guys or to Devinn how great she looked.
When I left the theater, the cabbie who picked me up asked if I had seen "that porn star." He said I was lucky, because he had checked out the posters, and "Damn, she's gorgeous."
