I just read about this on LukeFord.com. Such a horribly sad story :( She has been through so much in her life, it's just beyond reprehensible to think she had to go through this as well, without the support of her contract company either. The people who should have been there to look out for her and protect her. I don't know what part of this story is true myself as I was not there, but I did speak to someone when the rumors first came out who knows Devon very well and has been in the industry for going on 15 or so years now and says this is a true story. Sad, but true and there is a lot of the story that hasn't been revealed. :(
Given that Kelli's sources are usually reliable, this is very sad. Devon's life in porn always reads like one of those hard luck stories you read about in Charles Dickens or John Cleland. Even if she puts herself in dangerous situations by the poor choices she makes, there's still not excuse for what she says happened. And if the company looked the other way, it's way beyond sleazy.

This really is sad, but idk why she had to come out and "confirm" it now. No girl/women.. anyone deserves to be raped, but why put yourself in a situation. I just didn't like the posting on myspace thing.
I totally agree here. It is a real sad story that should totally not have happened but I don't get why she makes it public now and on myspace. I hope everyhting works out for her though...

Looks like there is an update on LukeFord.com. It seems Shane's world isn't happy with Devon either and they make a nasty verbal attack on her in response to her attack on them.

I see the fanbois are out in force tonight. Whether you liked/agreed with my post or not does not alter the fact that Devon's myspace rant was riddled with atrocious spelling errors. Perhaps if she paid more attention in school during her formative years she wouldn't have the difficulties she has now. At least her spelling would be better.
^The way that it was written was one of the reasons I thought that someone might have been impersonating her--almost trying too hard to make it "believable". It's also quite possible that she was typing it in from a mobile phone, and this could account for a lot of the abbreviations, etc. It's a lot easier to make mistakes from a mobile. I'm just guessing. If it is she and also true, though, it's really a tragedy.
^Not sure about Korn, but it's the one who was a Vivid contract girl, then a Digital Playground contract girl -- she was in a threeway with Teagan Presley and Evan Stone in the first Pirates. I believe that she was also married to Barrett Blade for awhile. Is / was Barrett associated with Korn? I know that he is / was a musician of some sort.

So someone comes to you and tells you they have been raped and your first comment is that she is uneducated. Would you wonder aloud whether the guy that died in a car accident had a nice car or not. Do you comment that starving children are unkempt. Your comment is incredibly cruel. To add insult to cruelty you suggest that her "difficulties" are attributable to her having not "paid more attention" in school. Now she says she was raped. Are you suggesting that being raped is attributable to having been poorly educated? Or are you suggesting that she actually wasnt raped and that her "troubles" are reflected in her lying about it. Or are you commenting about the reported "drug use" that she denies having occured. In the context of a situation wherein a woman has publicly accused a man of a most horrible crime, what exactly do you suggest are her "troubles". To use a persons public declaration that he/she has been victimized as an opportunity to critique is a sentiment that comes from nothing short of utter contempt.
The Devon we are talking about here is the Devon from DearDevon.com She first came to fame in around 1998 when she signed with Vivid, left Vivid went to Jill Kelly Productions, left them signed with Digital Playground, left them signed with Shane's World, left them. She has had a handful of contracts to say the least but that doesn't make her story any less credible considering a few others speaking out possibly backing it up. Anyway right now I can't say either way. I do however have 7 phone calls in to different people who may be able to shed some real light on this situation for us. Even if we can't get anyone to go on record, at least we'll have enough pieces of the pie to know what is really going on. Also I notice there have been several updates to the story on LukeFord.com since the original including another one from Devon herself and information about another claim of rape by someone high up from Shane's World. Interesting to see how this will play out.
Oh ok, my fault on the mix-up on which Devon's. This whole story is crazy. The fan's post (which was shown on lukeford) was dead-on, but everyone is still gonna be touchy with what he said.. bc shes calling rape. So far, it's just back and forth with no other proof. Now now let's not turn this thread meant to be about Devon and her issues into a pissing match about spelling. Speaking of which, heard a very interesting rumor today from a friend. It seems Shane's World says (well at least according to this source) Devon can have have domain name back but she has to first ask them for it directly. The source is someone deeply involved in the story and says he spoke to a VP over at Shane's World himself directly and that is what they told him.

I don't know. That's a very good question. I mean it could go so many ways. It could be a legit offer, as in we know it's yours so here take it back or it could be like you said an opening offer on shutting her up or even worse, it could be a humiliation tactic saying ya if you you want it, come ask for it. I did call my friend and asked him when I read your post and he said that although he can't say for sure, it sounded like, and then he goes well f* I don't know. Then he said that at first glance it sounded like a legit offer of good will to him but the way things go in this industry he wouldn't put anything past anybody anymore. I'm going to pretend that the world is all merry and grand and that it's a legitimate offer of good will and without a icky thought in the world they want to return it to her with a smile and thank you for the money they got to make off of it over the past few years. My sentiments exactly. But I still think that some key points are missing in Devon's statements. For example; Why did she not go to police? She could complain against Shane's World too. Why did she wait until now? She tells the guy is in prison now, namely she wants to emphasize that she is free now to talk about this shit. Maybe the guy is impending her not to publicizing this story. I think more logical info is needed to understand the whole issue.
I think the simple answer is she's a pornstar and thinks that reporting it would get her no where. I mean when girls do report rape a lot of times it becomes a trial on the girl where she gets blamed for it, so I can imagine a pornstar would have a much harder time.
She didn't wait until now. She actually brought it up immediately after it happened more than two years ago and from what I heard she tried to contact some companies he was working with often and give them a heads up to protect their girls but apparently nobody wanted to listen. Until his other conviction for rape, he was a golden boy that everyone loved. Also from what I heard she did complain to Shane's World. I've heard a few variations on this part of the story including the threat of legal action if she doesn't complete the film despite what happened to the thread of having her arrested in Mexico for using drugs on the set to scare her to shut up and then another version of the story is that she reached out to some of the PAs for help and they just sort of tried to hush it all up, that she didn't actually go to any higher ups at Shane's World until after they got back home.
So the assualt alledgedly happened not during a scene in the movie, but someone when the cameras were off, right? I havent actually scene the dvd, so I was just wondering.
You know that I can't say for sure on. There have been so many different things said. From what i understand the entire shoot was a big party in Baja and the cameras were always rolling but I don't really know 100% for sure.
Shanes World also put out the pot movies, Blazed and Confused, when it is clearly illegal to perform in porn while under the influence. What do you expect? Plus, there is a huge amount of drinking in the College Invasion series.
