Just read (if you can get through the misspelling and bad grammer) her rants & rages on MySpace. My personal experience of watching porn and being around porn girls since the early 1990s is that (eventually) most of them come to hate porn...if for no other reason than it continues to "define" them to other people (boyfriends, family, potential employers, people on the street)--long after the girls want to define themselves in new ways. Remember: we "grow" as we age and move thru life; we change, and "evolve" who we are as a person. In our own eyes, and in the eyes of others. What Devon is doing, in a very public and "whacky" way, seems to being saying: "I'm no longer a Porn Star...I'm something else now" and she's destroying her porn life by spilling all of her personal "dirty laundry" (examples: she didn't like most of the guys she fucked on video, she hooked on the side to make money, the companies & directors are controlling and have a different view of what's "hot sex" than she does). And, to put another nail in her PornLife coffin, she states that "all" of the other porn girls she knows feel the same way, and have done the same things (like hooking on the side). Bottom line: Devon is "crazy" like the guy in the mainstream movie "Network": she's mad as hell, and won't take it anymore. It's definitely the end of her career in porn. [Link] |
