I was thinking that Erik Everhard should be regarded as a bigger legend in the business than he is today. I used to be a huge fan of the guy and no one can deny that before the invasion of Brazzers he was once upon a time the best and most explosive performer in the business. If you look at where Manuel and Lex are today they both have won multiple AVN Performer of the Year Awards and both have their own lines at major studios (Evil, JJV. Hard X) Erik definitely changed his style which I think has hurt his popularity. His movies from JJV all of a sudden have stopped popping up and seems like has apparently given up directing all together I assume because of low sales or failure to compete with the competition due to expenses. Overall I kind of feel bad for him, people know who he is, he's still famous enough to get guys like Chris Jericho giving him shout outs in books but it just seems like the guy really hasn't progressed since his hey day in 2001 when he fucked Briana Banks. His movies at RLD and the beginning at JJV up to 2007 were some of the best flicks in the industry but it seems like it's pretty much over. I don't really get the premise of this thread. He's been one of the most well regarded male performers in the business for years and years. I'm sure he works as often as he wants and that he makes more money than 90% of his peers. I guess it is kind of a slight that he's never won AVN performer of the year when there have been a handful of clearly inferior selections in the past, but I doubt that affects his bottom line at all.

Hmm, I find it interesting how differently various folks perceive these guys. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree here, but I've personally never thought of Ferrara in that way.
