^I think your question is moot here because unless you can point to a single porn video shot in the last decade that we know is exclusively for the female market than all lesbian porn is shot for the male market. That's not to say that it can't appeal to lesbian but I think it's target audience is and always has been men. Now I remember at least one lesbian series that starred real lesbian and was probably meant for a lesbian audience but we are talking about movies that were shot about 20 years ago. Do you watch lesbian porn and if you do then which studio produces your favorite kind?
I'll be honest i always had a thing for G/G just never had something i liked very much, until recently Angela white brought me to Girlsway and i like it. Some of things they do it G/G is just nonsense, too much like fake-ness going on. There arent many production i know that are good especially G/G
^I have always loved lesbian porn but it took decades for it to become really good. The kind of lesbian porn made in the 70's and 80's left a lot to be desired but it got much better in the 90's and incredible by early 2000. I like many of the videos that Girlsway does but it's a mix bag for me because while some of them are very good. I'd say most are at best mediocre. That said. Mediocre lesbian porn is better than no porn. The problems with most of girlsway videos is the same with every other videos. Lack of budget, lack of time to produce better videos, lack of talent in front of the camera and lastly lack of talent behind the camera. Of these lack of budget is by far the worse offender and the one that could fix many of the other problems but I understand why studios can't afford to put more money into making better porn because they won't see a better return on the investment. One piece of observation regarding Angela's work. I wouldn't use her appearances as a measuring stick to the quality of the other content on any site she has content on because I find that she elevates the videos she is in to the point where they are often superior to the other stuff made on those sites.
I don't know of any g/g porn aimed exclusively at one gender. I believe Bree Mills(Girlsway) said their subscribers are about 20% female. There was a San Francisco Lesbian line put out years ago. That may not have been the exact name. I wondered at the time if it was meant for a female audience. I'm a guy and thought it sucked big time. The performers did not have the type of appearance that would attract the average male viewer. I think I put that as nicely as possible.
I suspect that some of the porn said to be 'couple friendly', in other words hardcore in the sense that it is explicit but softcore in the sense that it is gentle/romantic is what some producers think women would like. However, I doubt that anyone in the industry aims for a female audience exclusively and why would they?
I was thinking about this series when I made my post but like you I'm not sure what it's name was but your answer sounds about right. I personally always assumed that it was meant for the lesbian market. They did market themselves as having a cast of performers that were all real lesbians and for the most part the women had a look that would be hard to simulate by non-lesbians. That said it's possible that some of the women were gay for pay but I doubt it.
