| Opium Deactivated User 300 Posts 3/12 |  Posted - Jun 8 2012 : 8:29AMi'm thinking about getting digital phone service with time warner cable (i would save about $40 per month) but something i'm worried about is that my phone will have to be plugged directly into my modem (time warner gives you the special modem and does the install) and my modem is plugged directly into my desktop PC (i don't use a router any more). should the fact that the phone is now running off the modem have any effect on my PC in any way? like would it make it run "harder" so to speak or lower my download speed or mbps? any feedback is appreciated, thanks...
