Digital Playground Recommendations

I've had little experience with Digital Playground productions because what I have seen has been kinda dull. Very slick production, but little heat. Like a more technically accomplished Vivid. And then there was the trainwreck of Janine in Mrs. Behavin' where some idiot thought we'd rather see Janine have slow motion sex overlaid with some of the worst music ever rather than real time fucking with Janine's very hot grunts and groans and dirty talk (you get a sample in the BTS and it just makes you angrier). But like I said, Pirates 2 suckered me in. How could I overlook something not just with Belladonna, but Belladonna with Sasha Grey and Katsumi? Those scenes did not disappoint and I finally understand Jesse Jane's popularity. I personally could never get past her look; one of the most unflattering boob jobs ever on a too-thin version of Jamie Pressley. But she brought it in every scene, so I decided to check more of her out in Kiss, Kiss, Kiss and Lust...and was utterly disappointed. Same high production values as before, thankfully no crappy music or slo-mo, but horrible direction. Either it's close up of genitals or shots of bodies moving with no sex, obviously for cable versions. Rarely any full body shots connecting the two. And how can you make your star look awful? I swear in Kiss, Kiss, Kiss Jesse's already unattractive boobs were a different color from the rest of her body! Learn to light these people! And the men seem to have exchanged heat for six pack abs. No one hates ugly, tubby fuckers like Tony T more than I, but Jesse and Bree Olsen demanded more and these guys were like robots. No passion, just chiseled bodies and steady pumping. Again, I initially thought it was merely Charles Dera (who needs to be seen and not heard) and Johnny Sinz (who needs a sandwich) until a scene with Mick Blue was equally cold and I know he can bring it. Now, I noticed it was Celeste directing these and since she also blew the Janine flick I was wondering if it were her. Then I saw Cockasian 3 and realize maybe not. So basically this long-winded rant is to ask, aside from Joone who did Pirates 2, is there anyone making flicks at DG worth seeing, or are they just another Vivid, which I stopped watching years ago? I stick with the Jack's series, all the contract stars without the over the top bullshit. Jacks POV, Playground, and T&A show series are fantastic. And the Virtual Sex series are pretty good too. I myself love Digital Playground and they are hands down my favorite studio. I know everybody has there opinion but i do think that some people are overly critical of Digital Playground. So if you're like most of the fans on this board who prefer gonzo, you will ONLY like some of their stuff. And the Digital series for you is "Jack..." Or if, like me, you like sexvids that you can watch with your girlfriend, then the "Pirates" and "Island Fever" are the Digital Playground products for you. Since this thread is about a company's product I have one more comment. One of the reasons that companies like Digital, Adam & Eve, and Vivid will survive the current porn economic depression is because they realize that in order to remain profitable, they can't focus on only one segment of porn customers. Click to expand I totally understand diversity and by no means think that only my tastes should be catered to, but Pirates was big obviously mainstream oriented production that still managed to be hot, while other things that seemed to more gonzo (Cockasian for example) was actually kinda lame, so I needed the perspective of someone who'd seem a variety of titles and could give me a clue. Or maybe Pirates is just the exception to the rule and DG overall is truly like Vivid, where the non-hot titles just so outnumber the hot titles so it's simply not for me. [Link]

Click to expand I would say they are another Vivid, I only watch DP movies for one reason, she has black hair and pale skin! I never liked Vivid's style and I'm not into DP's either. The direction, lighting and soft focus are just not my thing and I struggle to find their movies erotic. I've recently started watching Harmony(the studio) and in particular Gazzman and this just brings it home to me how much off the mark DP are, and what it is that I want to see. [Link]

I only wish she done more movies than Robby D who's direction and editing is starting to wear rather than, Cheerleaders was a huge disapointment imo.
