very leery of buying used electronic-heavy cameras, and a digital would be tops on the list. There are so many things to go wrong, and so many little things where the problems can hide. You'd really have to trust the seller. I'd hate to have the thing for a month and then find out some semi-obscure function that I suddenly need doesn't work, and by that time anything that's wrong is now My Fault.
I normally buy a lot of things (including cameras) used. But I don't trust buying a DSLR used (certainly not a high-end one).
