It's a generic term, and with the little explanation beneath it, I think it works.

For example, in the "smut" category you have "general adult dvd" and in the "lighter side" you have "general erotica", what's up with that? It's the same thing isn't it? Also, placing "classics" along with "couples" makes no sense as not all classics are geared towards couples. And putting the "porn newcomer questions" in with the "lighter side" doesn't make much sense if they want to know about gonzo type action. It just seems like now I have to go to two separate forum pages for the same thing, where is before I only have to go to one. If you really want to change things up make these totally separate categories: classic Pretty much covers it all. [Link] |

In fact, I vehemently disagree with doing too much categorization. It can take away alot of the intelligent conversation about porn in general. The point was to provide a sort of... sub-forum where people who are too intimidated to join in the conversations of the main forum can go. Hardcore porn vids will still be discussed there. Gonzo porn will still be discussed there. It's just that the emphasis will be a bit different. Admittedly it's a delicate balance, but I think even if we make a few mistakes in moderation, that the decision was a good one. Mike L. [Link] |
