Slightly unhinged and mysterious, yet beloved director Jim Holliday passed away, yesterday. He died in a hospital of a heart attack.
Jim Holliday was a mysterious character who has been in the business for over 15 years. His features, mostly bizarre sex romps featuring numerous girls, helped to make him the man he will be remembered as.
His method was to shoot three features at one time, with no one really knowing exactly how they would end up except for him. Young girls, anal, rimming, toe sucking, pigtails, cheerleaders, nurses, sororities, and pink nail polish interjected with oftentimes off-kilt, strange dialogue about sports, politics, grifitng and anything else, was his style.
I was always straight-up with Jim and in return he gave me respect. I for one will miss him.
Another major loss for the adult industry. I have a few of Jim's work in my porn collection and I do agree his stuff was bizarre as well as quite erotic. Rest in peace, Mr. Holliday...
i really liked the guy, and im sad to hear this news.i love his movies that he and jill kelly did togather. vca without jim holliday movies, will never be the same.
Damn. Jim Holliday was one of the first porn directors I paid attention to. His movies released the foot freak in me. My condolences to the family, and rest in peace, Jim. May you continue to hear that soft surf music whereever you may be.

So sorry to hear that. I manage an adult store and have three older regulars that I call whenever I get a new title from him. I'll pass on the bad news to my guys :(
R.I.P. Jim Holliday. For me, his significance was as an historian. He had a tremendous knowledge of the Golden Era. I used to have a copy of his "Only the Best" book and it gave great insight into the original "blue movies".
Sorry to hear that. Holliday was not my favorite director, but on the other hand he was always someone you could count on. We knew what to expect when we got one of his films.
"I liked almost anybody that made you realize who in the devil was making the picture." (Howard Hawks)
He was born in (my well informed source tells me) 1948
I agree with some of the posters that, although he was a director in recent years, he was at least as important as a historian of porn. Few will ever even come close to his encyclopdedic knowledge on 'Golden Age' porn.
Condoloences to the family, and to all Jim's Angels.

I remember this guy from Jill Kelly's movie. When I was like 13 years old I remember seeing this movie that Jill Kelly made it was called somthing like Jill Kelly's Best Scenes or something like that. This guy was there in a white suit and in sunshades and he was talking stuff. But the best thing about the movie was the Sydnee Steele. I think that this was her 1st movie. I definatly like her to this day and I think that she has a very sexy ass.
