I saw something in a JAV the other day that got me to thinking ...

But that got me thinking about some of the things I've seen in JAV. Why not in America porn:
-- Girls taking facials then going out in public; -- Girls having "fan appreciation videos", where either fans get to fuck the starlet or she blows a lot of guys and fucks one lucky winner; -- Girls picking up guys on the street and giving them blowjobs, handjobs or fucking them (the guys' faces are pixelated).
I'm running out of time, but you JAV fans help me out here. I think American porn is becomg stale through its concentration on physical acts and by failing to recognize that there's more to eroticism than finding out how many dicks will fit in a girl's orifices.
Well I'm curious where you buy your Japanese porn, but that's beside the point. I love the idea of stranger sex, but there's one big reason why it shouldn't be done.

That means the only way that stranger sex would work is if condoms were used, and that kills the nasty factor, and the nasty factor was the big reason to begin with.

These 3 things have all been done in American porn. Not a lot, but they have been done.

Most of those ideas sound hot -- including the jerk off in the male face/cleanup scene. I dont see the woman with sperm on her face in public erotic at all. I wish these ideas were done with non-asian girls though.
I think what is more interesting in Japanese AV is the way in which scenes are framed and shot, as well as the way talent is distributed in the videos. What I mean by that is this: in American Gonzo, we are generally treated to 6-12 girls in one scene each. In Japan, fans seem to prefer only 1 girl featured in each title, usually performing in 3-6 scenes of different types (usually arranged around a particular fetish, etc.). I wonder if American and European fans would welcome the idea of a featured starlet in each gonzo, instead of the usual potpourri. Japanese fans seem to buy their porn for the fetish and for the female talent, so they would rather see a particular girl they really like get all the action--rather than buy or rent a video for the one half-hour scene featuring the girl they are actually interested in. We in the West get that in compilations like the Private and Kick Ass series, but these are randomly constructed from various projects; making a title with a single girl in mind (and in JAV, usually building the sex sequences up from the simple to the elaborate) gives the whole thing a sense of narrative continuity you don't get with the compilations. Opinions?

I am sure you are aware that there have been some limited series in American porn that focused on 1 girl in different scenes. Wicked's Wicked Ways series comes to mind, as does In-X-Cess' Kinky Debutante Interviews series. Since both series included at least 1 girl-girl scene, other girls were also present in the cast. I didn't get much sense of narrative continuity/progression though. Maybe this is something more suited for 'straight' narrative porn. In Europe, the Laure Sainclair titles made by VMD come to mind. True, Laure did not perform in every scene, but, as most titles with her name in it indicate, most of her videos did revolve around her. Focusing a narrative on 1 character might solve some problems of narrative porn, but of course, creates others. For one, you would have to have a pretty interesting lead performer. At least that is not as bad a problem to deal with in comparsion to other, more structural problems, which might be alleviated a bit by focusing on 1 character.
