I worked for Joey Silvera last Saturday, for his Service Animals.
We spoke a bit about my sexual turns-on, what i like to do and what i would like to do next. So Joey proposed me to work with a she-male, for one of his next productions.
Of course this has always been a big turn on to me. I mean, i like men and women. What i prefer in men are their cocks, and in women, their boobs. So having both of it in the same person would be fuckin' awesome!
So i was really flattered and happy about his proposition, i really wanted to do it.
The thing is that i spoke about it to some persons i know, and they told me that if i do work with a she-male, some companies won t hire me anymore, and some guys won t work with me anymore too!
How comes? I mean, fucking a girl, a guy, or a she-male, isn't it the same??? If the person is tested by AIM like any oher performer, what s the big deal?
It s not like if i would go to Brazil where the tests are not so sure, and fuck the first she-male i see. Is it because it bothers people to see a girl and a she-male together?
Well, i have to take my decision. I really wanna do it, but i would like everyone's opinion about it. Tell me what you think, positive or negative. And if there s a girl that worked with a she male, i d like to have her impressions too.
The person you talked to is correct, Melissa. If you do go ahead with this there will be reprocussions. Is it fair? Does it make sense? Not really. But it happens.
Jessica Darlin worked in a shemale scene for Joey Silvera a while back and she encurred some males who refused to work with her after that.
As a fan, this is not my fetish at all. I wouldn't rent it or buy it. However, if you want to do it and feel like it is safe then go for it.
It would be cool to see, but you should think about the back lash and or course the safety aspect. But, if your cool with it, go full speed ahead!

It's close-mindedness that's all. It's a BIG issue now because of the fact that the Darren James situation all came from a chick who was doing excessive amounts of Brazilian she-male work.
I think it's great. Just be overly cautious. Check out she-male films and pick out some that turn you on and gather info about them. Check with AIM to see if the ones you like are tested regularly. I don't know you extremely well, but your name is familiar. I don't think Joey Silvera will have a problem with you being choosy. Infact it will help if he is ever questioned about you he can be like "She didn't just work with any She-male I wanted she picked a certain 1 or 1's". The only other thing I would say is maybe ask that a condom be used during Anal if that's part of the scene.
I don't care to watch it myself but I certainly wouldn't mind watching a girl who had done she-male scenes for one film then turn up in a straight flick.

It may not be the safe(porn polotics wise) career move, BUT I see it just like Interracial was back in the 90's. Now because every PornChick and her momma are doing it it's become expected(oops I mean excepted). With Jessica Darlin, Ariana Jollee, & others doing it things will change for she-male work the same way.
Hey Jewel, I'm a kind of curious you would have that view. I remember back when you first did Interracial it was pretty controversial. A top level Pornstar doing Interracial "No Way!". I'm sure you probably lost some jobs from close-minded people back then, but do you look back on it now and regret it(no, right?). Well, "atleast I think the answer is no" since you produce films like Interracial Lust & Blondes & Blacks.
jessica darlin, cherie, kate frost, christie lee all did scenes for joey and their careers have'nt been hurt. ariana jolee has also done a few tranny scenes and she may be the biggest star in adult right now. the testing over here is much more stringent then in brazil.just make sure you have the proper tests as you would with any other talent.also in almost all of joey's tranny scenes they use condoms. can't be any safer then that
As a fan, it wouldn't change my opinion of a girl. I still like Jessica Darlin and Ariana Jollee. I have a friend that is a big fan of shemale movies and I'm planning to check out Ariana's shemale scene. Jewel's forgotten more about the porn business than most people even know, so i'd trust her judgement, but in the end, it's up to you, of course.
If this is a turn on for you, then use your head and fulfill your fantasy.
HIV seroprevalance in male homosexual actors in videos runs in the 50% category I hear. Most preop transexuals have sex with other men, so that is where the problem lies.
I don't produce and act in too many videos, but I am very cautious. I prefer to work with an actress as the first person after her last AIM test. For the ultimate in safety, I do one shoot, one test for me. After I do a shoot with a girl, I wait for about a week and a half, then take another test. That way I have a negative test before and a negative test and after. I may be weird, but if I am told by an agency a girl I am interested in doing a shoot with "has a problem with her test", I never will do a shoot with that person in the future-I just can't put some things out of my mind and chemistry is a big thing with me because I am still human.
Although is very, very difficult to HIV seroconvert via heterosexual sex, damage to the rectal mucosa is a a more efficent vector as is being immunocompromised. If you are not a drug abuser, and you do the a shoot with the preop transexual, and you ask to be the first person they do a shoot with after their last AIM test, and the person does not do escorting, and you avoid anal or when you may be spotting, statistically you will be just fine. Never do a shoot with anyone when you are sick. Most healthy people's immune system can inactivate low infectious retroviral loads.
We know from the Padian Study which was well regarded and peer reviewed that the heterosexually vectored risk of HIV seroconversion is very minimal....Laura Roxx did a double anal with two huge guys, and she was a Toronto escort. (she still deserves our utmost sympathy)
Also race in itself does not modulate seroprevalence but some races are remarkably more likely to be seroprevalent, so consider that for what it is worth to you. For those that claim such a statistical truth is "racist", it is no more racist then claiming it is sexist to say that more males commit violent crimes for which they can be incarcerated.
So if you use your head wisely, the odds are far in your favor, then have a safe, great time and fulfill a fantasy.
I like it by the way that you were asked what is pleasurable for you by the last producer, I ask the same thing of the women I do shoots with, I am always thinking about what will be pleasurble for them, that might make me a lousy producer, but I am more concerned about people then making money from degradation shoots. I can't tell you how many women I do shoots with tell me they wish every producer/actor would ask and think about what feels nice for her. I thought everybody did that but I am told not.
For th epsoter that said people who won't work with certain types of talent as "closed minded" if I may respectfully dissent. I will only work with female talent as I proudly and "close mindedly" "discriminate" against male talent by refusing to have sex with them, on or off camera. That includes not have "non-sex sex" as defined by Clinton, lol....
Melissa, I hope this helps.......you're cute by the way!
PornoPunk, you can look at the online CDC's AIDS Surveillance Reports and look for their breakdowns based upon risk categories and they also break it down based upon race. One will have to make their own judgement call on how relevant it is to their own situation, infer no opinion from me on that call.
i don't think that would be very exciting for me but however if this is your decision it's ok... be careful about the people say to you,how many fans would be happy seeing you with a she-male?? i don't know but i don't think they are too many
I would say no. Main reason being that there are VERY few even remotely good looking shemales around. Safety is another aspect.
BUT if you can pick the performers, and set your own safety standard, and MOST importantly really WANT to do it, go ahead. I mean, who are we to tell you to do or not do anything really.
Trying to please the fans is an impossible task, no matter what you do you´ll offend someone. Either way, theres no rush is there? Think about it, wait a couple of months, then think some more ;)
btw, congrats on a fantastic scene for UNS 12, even tho rough isnt my thing at all, it was a really really good scene, and thats the main turn on for me, women getting of on what they do, nothin else matters.
I've read those statistics. I'm not making any judgements either. I was just trying to understand if you were saying it's a greater risk of aids working with one race over another when everyone involved is tested by AIM.

hey pornopunk,
I think what he is trying to say is there are studies that show that different races have different levels of risk of infection. Maybe certain races have thinner tissue(skin?) in their anuses?
Yeah, that's pretty laughable. When everyone is tested and the test shows negative their is no more of a risk working with a white guy or a black guy. I just didn't think it should be implied that white guys are safer to work with than any other race. There's enough BS involving race in porn and everywhere else.
Pornopunk, if you read those statistics already one would wonder why you then asked me what race I was talking about when I referenced no races.
The problem with polymerase chain reaction DNA or RNA amplification protocols is it may take several weeks for a sufficient level of a retorviral load to be present in needed quantities for it to be chain reaction amplified to the point of detecability. Because of that, one or may not make a highly personal defensive decision to elect to use that and/or other markers for seroprevalence and it is unrebuttably evidenced by the CDC that these markers include race.
I personally think it may be statistical folly to use race considering AIM testing as you alluded to, but I can't make judgement calls for others, but everyone is entitled to make their own judgments calls based upon as much information as they can gather, and I was only offering support and information apolitically.
I'm not going to argue about aids and race. Alls races can get it, period. No person is immune because of their race. I bet many families of all races who have lost people to aids will attest to that. The reason I aked you "what race" is because I wanted you to be crystal clear about what you were implying or what I thought you were implying. I think we have both made our points and I have no more questions or hard feelings.
It's a matter of preference. I would probably watch Melissa take on a shemale or two, because I think she's hot. Way way way way hot. But I'm not much into the shemale thing. If it really is a career-killer, which I don't believe it is, maybe she could wait and save it for a finale , particularly if there are concerns with HIV transmission among other prospective male partners. (And, you can always go condom-only for the shemale stuff -- that's pretty common even in gonzo).

Hey pornopunk,
I think this awkwardness is what he was trying to avoid.
I'm in no way arguing what you think I am. I'm just saying if there were medical studies that said different races have different risks would you give it a blanket dismissal? I'm sure caucasians are more at risk for skin cancer simply because the skin is lighter.
I'm not a doctor, but if there are studies it could be something to what was said before.
Melissa, do what you really want to do. If you're working for J.S., then all health and safety concerns will be looked after, and you will not be pushed into doing anything that you don't care to -- which is more than can be said for a lot of the b/g sets I'm sure you've seen, if you've made the circuit.
Will it hurt your career? Not really. A few ignorant and prejudiced souls might hesitate to hire you, but if you're popular with fans, dependable and do good work, the impact on your income will be negligible. Don't worry about being "blackballed" -- NOBODY has ever been successfully blackballed in this business, even many who probably deserved to be for thievery, violence, on-set drug abuse, no-shows, etc.
If you have properly educated yourself on the facts, no one's opinion on this is as important as your own. Don't be intimidated by small-minded gossips who can have no real affect on your career, despite their dire mumblings.
best, dac

I agree, lets just enjoy life. I don't dismiss the studies. I would suggest whites continue to use condoms because aids doesn't discriminate. I'd also suggest black people use sun screen. They can also get skin cancer. I want everyone to be safe and get along.
Peace,
Sorry Melissa, for getting your thread off track. I'm done on this subject.
Just to let you all know, Melissa asked me about doing a she-male shoot for Joey Silvera and I advised her against it. Why? Several reasons:
1) Many companies will not hire Melissa if she's done Trannies. Just last week a production manager for a VERY large company said he heard a rumor that one of my girls had worked with a Tranny. I was then told that if she had indeed worked with a Tranny she would NOT be hired!
2) Many Guys will not work with a girl who's worked with a Tranny.
3) In short - as Jewel said - it would be a career killer.
In summary, I'm not saying that fucking Trannies is inherently a good thing or a bad thing, however as a BUSINESS DECISION it would be a BAD move.
Another viewpoint from a "fan". I wouldn't do it either. What is the rush? You are still early in your career so why get blackballed from studios and performers.
If you must have a shemale, try it in your personal life. If it turns you on so much after you tried it, then share it with the rest of the world on film.
I am NOT a fan of shemale/tranny vids. I have no idea what the fascination is with them? I think some male directors are more interested in cock than pussy. To each his own
i think you should do it if you really want it. i raelly like to see girls with trannies only (without guys) although i don't see it because most tranny films have guys with gay things that turns me off. as for your career i'll go with what dac said - no fan will leave you for that and since you are a big star (or becoming one) than the companies still hire you (after all - it's all about the money for them).
I am sorry to dissent here but this statement flies in the face of all epidemiological evidence. Retorviruses like HIV are highly discriminatory in that some behaviors and risk groups are better and more susceptible vectors.
"AIDS Doesn't Discriminate" was a propaganda slogan created by the homosexual AIDS group "ACT UP!" and was designed to democratize a disease that overwhelmingly more affects those that engage in intravenous drug abuse and male homosexuality and their accompanying higher rates of immuncompromizing behaviors rather than heterosexual sex.
The democratization scheme was a successful fearmongering tactic employed to free up funding by making the predominant sexual behavior group think they were at a signficant risk when in fact we are not.
The ultimate proof of how "discriminatory" HIV is can be seen is by the remarkable seroprevalence disparity rates between those that self identify as male and female homosexuals.
Listen to Shylock Melissa. I think if you want to do it,. wait till the time is ready, but you just started.. and your doing well now. Im curious too.... but I think its better to listen to Shylock and Jewel. But at the end you make the disicion... and you must do what you think its right. I dont have anything against shemales.... but if they say its a bad carreer move at the moment... then wait a while.

Just let me tell you: as a fan I absolutely dont care wheter a girl does trannies or not. I avoid trannie videos like hell - no matter who is in it. But I dont allow trannie scenes I know of negatively influence the way I like a girl in hetero porn. Same goes for lesbian videos for me. As long as I get plenty of 100% hetero scenes of a given girl I dont care at all; I`d just never rent or even buy a lesbian video of her. Same again for animal stuff. I dont like it. I dont care. Same for scat a.o.
