| nylonsoles Member 76 Posts 8/12 | Hmm… maybe the right spot, maybe not. Instead of a question, I thought a place to post some brief notes might be worthwhile. My wife and I like to watch porn together. She likes plot. Gonzo isn't going to make it, generally speaking. There doesn't have to be much plot (too much can be a killer), but just enough. Fake tits and fake moans are a turn off for both of us. SHUT UP ALREADY. There are plenty of folks saying that there aren't movies as good as what was done in the 70s. Maybe not, but I'd say it's a lot better than 10 years ago. So I'll start off with one mini-review and add more later. Buffy the Vampire Slayer XXX We are big fans of the show. I have been to Joss's house, met Ally Hannigan, etc. (not because I am a fan, but because of business… I nearly creamed when I met her…she is incredible…and taller in real life than I expected). Anyway, WOW. This was good. We generally don't like parodies, but this was awesome. We wound up watching a scene, then fucking before it was out, rewatching it next time, and so on. It took a week to finish. Lexi Belle was perfect, she could take over the franchise from SMG. Kris Slater was fabulous as Xander. Jessie Andrews seemed so wrong as Willow lookswise, but she turned in a commendable performance. Surprise to me! The Giles and Jenny scene was good too. The ending was a total letdown. First, it abandoned any pretense of plot. Why wasn't Buffy fucking Spike, eh? Man, I hope there are more episodes. Madison Young would be a prefect Tara!! MOAR PLEASE. [Link] |

| nylonsoles Member 76 Posts 8/12 | I was concerned about what my wife would think since the movie seemed to come from a more mainstream porn background and those can often be boring and outright bad (lots of fake boob jobs, fake moaning by women who aren't getting off, bored men, and so on), but the 8th Day was quite good. Costumes were a high point even if in many ways they consisted of tattoos (fake?) and bodypaint. Given the Mad Max setting, this just made sense. The movie has a plot and good stagesets and locations, so a plus there. Most of the scenes were pretty good. We both enjoyed the one with Derrick Pierce, Kylie Ireland, and Jandi Lin even though that one has a dom-sub theme involving spanking. Could have been a turnoff for my wife, but given the setting, it was believable. Fake lesbian scenes are a turn off, so we fast forwarded through the one with Bree Olson, Tori Black and Poppy Morgan. Hissing cat noises and lack of orgasms didn't do anything. I get why my wife says she is bored by scenes like this. At least with male performers, you know somebody who is somewhat aroused. This was more like badly done performance art. Evan Stone is always one of my wife's favorites, so the scene with him came as a pleasant surprise. The same goes for the scene with Evan, Kayden, and Violet. The Prince's city was cool. A lot to be said for good stagesets. There is a group orgy scene that isn't bad, but since everybody is smashed out of their mind (in the movie, not in reality), it's also a bit ho-hum. What's the premise there? People getting trashed and fucking? I dunno, not the best one. Interesting choice not to have a scene with Amber Rayne and Kayden Kross. There is a little fondling in a tub, but that's it. I would've been interested in it, but if it had been perfunctory porno-lesbianism, I suppose its better they skipped it. Sorry that this review is so disjointed. I'm new to reviews and I'm trying to avoid discussing the plot since we both enjoyed it a lot. The 8th Day is not the first movie to start watching together. For those, I'd recommend going back to classics from the 70s, most especially Debbie Does Dallas, since they are so well known, new-to-porn spouses can be easily convinced to find out more. Nica Noelle's films are a good start too and some parodies (like the Buffy one above) are also good introductions. There's some violence and forced sex in the 8th Day plus a bit of anal, but its all well done and it fits the setting well. The better porn flicks make us wonder why hardcore sex isn't part of mainstream Hollywood and TV. Sometimes it just makes sense in the plot. Often, if not always, the 8th Day did that. Next up, the Deviant, a Nica Noelle movie with anal! |
| nylonsoles Member 76 Posts 8/12 | The Deviant. Oh what to do with this one? The first scene, between Kylie Ireland and Manuel Ferrara was well played in that the chemistry was off. Manuel can be great in couples films, like the awesome Creampie flick Fill 'Er Up. And in this one, the KI and MF were both playing a couple on the skids so the sex was weird. It works artistically, but it didn't turn us on much. The next scene, between Kylie and Mr. Pete, was awesome. My wife, who doesn't comment much on women's bodies said she thought Kylie's was beautiful and she was really hot. Indeed, fantastic, hot scene. Elexis Monroe and Manuel Ferrara was Manuel's hottest scene in the film. The seduction was well played, if sleazy. In contrast, however, my wife was outrightly pissed with the Dana DeArmond character since she liked Kylie so much. I told her to pretend the scene was about something else and that helped get her off. Throughout, the anal was hot for both of us, no question. So what are the lessons? First, we need to find more Kylie Ireland films. Second, there is a disjuncture between our consumption of porn, in which we want to be challenged, but not too much and our consumption of regular media. If, for example, there had been another Kylie scene in which she'd gotten it on with the paperboy or whatever prior to the DeArmond-Ferrarra hookup, it might have been different, but in this case, she was a sympathetic character (Manuel was not), so it was hard to want to enjoy a scene after she'd been financially and emotionally screwed over. And so it goes. |
