Just wondering not trying to cause any controversy on the board. Doing double anal on film definitely marks you for life. Guys probably don't care as much.
I think it all depends. There are so many porn girls today, many coming and going in less than a year, that they would generally be anonymous to most but the hardcore porn fan. What could happen is someone's kid bro pulls up a gang bang from some website and ... whoa! There's Tommy's girlfriend!!! But it's all a matter of attitude and, perhaps also, class orientation. I'm sure many regret it later in life, as we all have doubts about our behavior at age 19 or 20. But I'd bet many would say that they would have had a bigger regret if they had not taken the leap and lived out their sex fantasy.
The business is not for everyone but some girls jump into it anyway. There is no doubt that some of these performers walk away with regrets. How many do or how severe their regrets are depends on who you ask. If you asked Luke Ford he'd probably give you some radically cynical answer. If you asked an actual performer like Kimi Lixxx she'd give a more informed answer.

I'm sure some do. There are different levels of regret, and it may vary from minute to minute. I regret having done some things, regret not having done others. Some things I'm glad I did and also regret doing them. Few if any; will emotionally scar me for life. We just try to deal with the consequences of our actions
I definitely think that pornstars are a different breed. I bet the ones who regret it are the ones who do it for a few months or a year, and realize what they did was maybe not the best choice, because it wont go away. But I dont see Ashley Blue ever regretting what she is doing because she seems so damn sexual. girls like that are very proud of what they do and always will be.
Some probably get into porn because they needed more quick cash that could be gotten flipping burgers. Perhaps the baby is sick, the car payment is due, or they need to make bail on the boyfriend. These things may be the bigger regret.
I know many people who regret their choice of a husband or wife too, and for some that is a consequence that lasts nearly as long.
They very well might if they were on the receiving end.
(there is a story today on ESPN about a minor league baseball player who did a gay porn video some time ago, and yes he really regrets it)
There are male subcultures where a past as a performer in het porn is not a problem, but there are also plenty of groups where that will be a problem. The guys do close some doors by doing porn, but they are generally older than the girls when starting and may already realize some of the consequences or have already decided to head in a certain direction anyway.
I regret that I've been in this business for 14 years and I've been MARRIED the entire time. It probably would have been fun to have cut loose with some of these broads over the years, but then again, THEY probably would have regretted it :)
I never have but, I've always made my own choices. Giving into pressure is not something I do but I'm sure some do and regret it. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh to be older and set in my ways. Life is good.
Sheesh, all he did was appear in gay porn. It's not like he ran a stop sign and killed some dude on a motorcycle. Oh, wait, that'll only get you a 100 days in South Dakota, right?
regrets are for people who actually care about what others think about them. and if you're one of those people, then dont get into porno, on ANY level. Von S
I remember seeing something on VH-1 about a stripper in Texas trying to become a feature or porn star/magazine modelin L.A....she was young. Her main goal was to become a feature dancer since that's where the big bucks are in stripping. She had two problems though, she was lazy and had a cocky/know it all attitude and didn't realize how much hard work it takes to go through all those shoots. She thought her looks alone would make her successfull. It was like an hour long episode and all kinds of porn stars and similars made appearances speaking about the industry in general. I'll paraphrase what Aria Giovanni said since I don't remember her exact quotes. She regretted a lot of the stuff she did when she was younger...especially the bondage material. Aria felt she was too young and that's how it is for a lot of these girls today. They see the money and glamour and are willing to bare it all for it...but in Aria's case, she regrets a lot of it since she's matured and grown older. Aria, in my opinion, should have gone into serious non-porn acting. I feel she's got the Hollywood face and is just so damn cute.
One of the most poignant things I remember seeing in a porn film was a couple of years ago. Aurora Snow was doing an interview or voice-over, in which she said, as I recall -- I'm going to paraphrase -- that she had at one time aspired to be a legitimate actress, but that she'd pretty much fucked that opportunity away (patdon the pun) by getting into porn. And this was before she'd been to Gangland a time or two and become a Daggie. While the comment was more matter-of-fact, I did detect a whisp of regret in her voice.
I assumed that male porn stars would have few regrets about what they do, since most of them have long careers and seem like they like what they do. But over on RAME, I found this thread recently, about an interview that Rocco Siffredi did with a French magazine. I'll paraphrase the relevant sentences:
"My sons (age 7 and 4) have always known what my profession is, but they sometimes feel uneasy about it," thus declared Rocco Siffredi to the French weekly magazine Gala. Siffredi seems to possess a tender heart behind the stellar reputation he has constructed as the "Italian Stallion" in the porn industry....The 39 year old star has announced that he is tired and wants to retire from porn in 2 or 3 years.
It doesn't sound like he has regrets about anything he's done on film, but more like he has concern about the impact of what he does on his children.
I watched a documentary about Ron Jeremy called - "Pornstar - the Legend of Ron Jeremy". He never came out and said it - but I detected a sense of sadness about him. He's so funny and personable on the outside - but again I sensed over and over that there is a sadness. There were so many references to how Ron just wanted to be famous. You get the feeling he would have much rather been famous in mainstream movies/comedy because he kept talking about it. They mention how he gets these "bit" parts in mainstream media - but no one really wants to risk their reputation giving him something "bigger" because of his past. Anyone have anymore insight about this?
Well other than the odd guy like the baseball player in this thread, are there that many guys who regret going into it considering they get to do what a lot of guys tell me they would love to do?
Btw, society is still too messed up and judgmental. Who cares if an adult was in a film? They should spend their energies prosecuting child abusers and criminals and not juding people based on moral standards. So much valuable energy is wasted.
I often regret not making some career changes sooner in my life. I don't think it is unique to porn. Perhaps more aggravated. It seems to me that it is something the women can do at a young age for a brief time and get their jollies -- I mean, it;s not like they aren't gonna fuck like oversexed wabbits anyway, right? -- pick up some cash, and enjoy a little infamy, and then move on. The sheer volume of girls dallying with the industry for 6-12 months is so staggering now that I think many of them can easily slip back into anonymity -- But maybe I am optimistic and biased.
We all have regrets about past jobs & career choices we had. It shouldn't be any different with the Porn Industry. I bet some girls are ashamed & some girls are proud of the time spent making XXX movies. The smart ones would of saved a bundle of money for future endeavors in life.
Devinn, you're very lovely but please stop doing girls! I know you recently started doing guys on film but recommend doing harder anal & dp scenes for RLD, PXP, Evil Angel, etc. Oh Yeah!
I'm sure some do, and although I could be wrong I have a feeling there's less regrets with the older porn stars than the younger ones. With a bit more maturity comes a bit more thought of the consequences of your actions. There's also normally a bit more confidence in your decisions and the knowledge that you're probably not going to be in the industry for the rest of your life. With the younger performers I get more of a feeling that they're going to walk in, take over the industry, and be in it for the rest of their life so as long as what they're doing gets them an extra buck it's not going to matter much. I'm sure there's exceptions on both sides, but it hits my head that way.
I have nothing to regret but I am kind of mad at myself that I let my family find out from someone else other than me but other than that I dont think I will ever regret gettin into porn as I have learned so much
The story I heard about Jennifer Stewart leads me to believe that she did. Basically, one of her neighbors or family friends actually saw her in a video and bought a bunch of them with her in them. They then dumped them on her unsuspecting parent's doorstep. Apparently, it was soon thereafter that she vanished from porn.
one thing that i think deserves a mention is the belladonna story with dianne story, even though i have not seen it, i heard that it pretty much showing belladonna breaking down and crying about the things she has done in porn, her story is that what was shown on the dianne sawyer show was not the whole story at all and was edited to appear one sided, that side was obviously anti-porn even though belladonna made alot of pro-porn statements that did not make it to the cut, she obviously is for porn otherwise she would not be working in porn anymore, can anyone shed more light on this , belladonna is my favourite performer and i love learning more about her
