Do image sets matter to you?

Is this because most people don't care about them and are only really interested in the videos? I'm actually the complete opposite and am thrilled when I see a site offer generous amounts of high-resolution photos (both solo and hardcore) for each of their shoots. Off the top of my head, some of the sites that really do this right are ATK, Brazzers, Bang Bros, Cherry Pimps, Dogfart, Fame Network, and My XXX Network. Here is a sample of the image sizes that are offered for each. ATK: 200 hex 3000 (6 megapixels) Brazzers: 1663x2495 (4.5 megapixels) Bang Bros: 1333 x 2000 (2.67 megapixels) Cherry Pimps: 3744 x 5616 (21.03 megapixels) Dogfart: 200 hex 3000 (6 megapixels) Fame Network: 1278x1920 (2.45 megapixels) My XXX Network: 128 hex 1920 (2.46 megapixels) Cherry Pimps clearly leads here, but everything offered by the sites on this list is adequate. The thing is, most other sites don't offer image sets that even come close to 2.5 megapixels. Based on the network size, the biggest offenders to me are Naughty America and Reality Kings. Naughty America: 887x1331 (1.18 megapixels) Reality Kings: 602x900 (.54 megapixels) The images on RK are pretty atrocious, which is a shame, because they regularly get really nice girls. The resolution that NA offers is also kind of embarrassing, since they offer video at the resolution of 4K, yet their images are barely over one megapixel. I can only assume that these sites think their members don't care at all about image sets, but I hope they realize that some do and upgrade soon. If there is interest, I will update this thread with sites that do offer high-quality galleries. [Link]

Mainly because the video trend has been away from solo/tease, as most scenes seem to be in a rush to get the girl naked and with a cock in her mouth ASAP. So....if there is no decent solo content in the video, the only way to have quality "alone time" with my favorite performer is from the solo photosets. [Link]

They've all been photo-shopped, to delete those annoying water marks. If I can't find a link for a good set of images, I'll just take a couple of screenshots from a title. I've just always found viewing porn pics more convenient and enjoyable than watching a movie where I'm constantly having to hit the FF, REW and Pause buttons. While I like hardcore sex pics, I actually prefer the softcore/solo stuff, where it's just the girl standing in front of the camera, staring right at you, with just her underwear on or she's fully nude...I fuckin' love that. Photos give me details that are rarely captured well on video. I like seeing hyper-detailed shots of subtle features like pores, freckles, and similar traits that make a girl unique. My favorite shots are definitely full-frontal shots where the girl faces directly toward the camera. Another obsession of mine are centered, bent-over ass shots. Brazzers' stuff still looks good to me. I don't think they airbrush their photos because you can still see a lot of imperfections in the models, like poorly concealed acne. I think it's a combination of flash and downsizing (from what could possibly be 36-megapixel files) that's resulting in this super-smooth look. They do need to turn down their compression when they process their stuff for the web, though, since there's obvious JPEG artifacts on basically all their photography. A lot of ATK's stuff also looks unnaturally clean and smooth, but again, I think it's the way they light their models (even overexposing them at times, as you would suggest) and the resampling from their larger RAW files. And Dogfart's stuff looks great because I think they're shooting only with available light and no flash units. That tends to bring out a ton of skin detail. Is anyone familiar with the site Czech Casting? They basically just shoot profiles of girls at a super-high resolution from the front, side, and back, along with some close-ups. Someone really needs to do a site like this, but for US talent. [Link]

I'll make better screen-caps myself, directly from the video, if it merits it. I'll actually go one frame at a time until I can grab an in-focus screen-cap (instead of the random shots the studio gives us). I really don't enjoy scrolling through 800 screen-caps to find the 20 worth viewing. Of course, I understand providing a small set of screen-caps for those who don't have the software and/or ability to make screen-caps themselves. [Link]

The photo quality is excellent and the majority of the girls I find to be very attractive. It'd be nice if they added a couple more frontal shots in each photo set and it'd be even better if the girls posed in various sets of bra/panty combinations. Especially when you are trying to turn newbies on to older retired stars they may not know about at all. Also photoshoots show them during their prime years in glamour shots (not video screen captures). A picture is truly worth a thousand words. I can rave on about how good some star looked during their prime and not have half the impact that pics of that star would have. Likewise lot of times pics are posted on ADT for some particular discussion (e.g. best tits, best legs, best short hair, best asian/black/latin/bbw girls, etc). Pics taken during a hardcore scenes have similar value if you have not watched (or purchased) the video and looking at the pics heightens your interest in checking it out. I think that's why most companies post pics for free to advertise the movies. Several years ago before the internet made them obsolete you used to have several adult review magazines that were very popular (e.g. Adult Cinema Review, Adam Film World) They would feature photos taken from movies. The magazines photographers would be on set taking photos during scenes. Nowadays directors and producers do their own photoshoots and include them on the DVDs and their websites. [Link]

The bigger the image and the higher the resolution the better. I use a lot of the images to draw from, so low res images aren't worth even pausing to look at. Click to expand That's probably why my favorite websites are European because they have just the right blend of glamorous models in high resolution still photos and hardcore sex. 21sextury current photosets are around 4928x3280 and ddfnetwork's around 400 hex 2666 MetArt 576 hex 3840 W4B:576 hex 3840 This also becomes more important if you are already using 4K monitor or TV as I am since a regular 1080 image size only fills up 1/4 of the screen! so it's like going back to the early days of 48 hex 680 images all over again :( Too be honest it's probably hard to get photo's or video just right so doing both is like 2x the work most aren't willing nor have the time for. If they aren't willing to use 2 people 1 for video 1 for still photos they might as well just let me do my own still image screen captures if they are already filming in HD. I know personally I have to choose between using my DSLR to get 4000+ photos or switch down to lower quality 1080p for video. Maybe once 4K camcorders become standard they'll be able to do both. p.s. Just looked at the latest Brazzer photosets I have and you can still see quite a bit of imperfections on the models but it does seem they are overly agressive on the lights or flashes since there seems to be quite a bit of overexposed or blown out areas that could be mistaken for airbrushing. Older sets had slight airbrushing that left the models still looking realistic, newer photosets are totally airbrushed everywhere now so they look like fake plastic dolls like all of Playboy's photosets :( [Link]
