| garyHalcon Member 9 Posts 9/08 |  Posted - Sep 22 2008 : 1:16AMI saw a few feature films on the Playboy channel that I was interested in. They were titled "My Tasty Asset" and "Cougar Chronicles". I wanted to find out who the actresses were but doing a search online resulted in no hits. I know for sure that "My Tasty Asset" is released by Vivid but even their site doesn't yield any recognition. Obviously Playboy has edited these original works. Does that mean that the titles have also changed? How do I go about finding any info on those particular titles. Thanks  [Link] |

Because of that, many titles of 70s films which had he words "young" "girl" "baby" "teeny" etc in them where changed or altered to avoid the kiddieporn refferences they could be said to have had. With regards to foreign movies, they may be known and circulate under a number of names, and even an older hc movie may have beemn distributed under a totally (less innocuous) name (i.e. a lot of french movies in the 1970's and 1980's). I recall years ago Playboy channel used to air so-called "amateur" sex movies/scenes, but in fact they were scenes taken from other hc movies with well-known adult perfomers. But what are you going to do, when you spot this kind of behavior, ask for a "refund"? [Link] |

This is one of the most difficult things to address on the IAFD, where people keep submitting "corrections" based on the version they have seen. The older the movie, the more of an issue this becomes. For example, the original theatrical film may have been edited to fit onto the various VHS limitations (i.e. two hours at SP was not always the upper limit) at the time the transfer occurred. Then, many videos were sometimes re-released by companies who were not the original studios. Later, in the transfer to DVD, many movies got edited again to fit onto cheaper single-sided 4.7 GB disks (often chopping them up again in order to fit trailers and phone-sex ads on as well). To make matters worse, many of these re-released versions are often based on the previously re-released and edited versions, as the original theatrical film masters and/or prints no longer exist, and/or are not available to the company re-releasing the title.
