That was then and this is now. If Traci Lords wanted to do a porn movie today it would be a huge deal and any studio able to meet he price would gladly pay it because it would be a bigger deal than most of the recent "celeb" sex tapes. She'd get tons of publicity...both good and bad. She's got a background that can be discussed for hours and the media would make it into a huge deal. Why would anyone have to run? She's of legal age and couldn't actually hurt any porn studio in any way.
Geri, Traci Lords doesn't look half bad for the life she has led (full of cocaine from what I have heard). I know I would not hire her if I were directing, I just can't get over what she did and wonder if I could trust her not to attempt to file rape, assault or coercion charges to gain publicity -- even after signing a model release and a release stating that she understands she will be caned, whipped, tied up, fucked with a strap-on and electric shocked by Bobbi Starr and Maitresse Madeline etc.
^ A lot of people lost a lot of money having to pull contless titles from the shelves because she was in them. That might sting even more than going to prison.
^^I hear ya but having Tracy Lords doing porn again would help fill up the bank account really quickly, no? Of course we are just dealing in hypotheticals but that money might cure whatever ill will there might still be.
I don't think it is likely to happen but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen. I can't see her making a come back in porn for less. Not mainstream porn anyway. But doing a movie with a director like Erika Lust or Maria Beatty?...maybe. Whatever, if Steve Hirsch has the front to offer this woman 1 million dollars to do porn Woman With Two Vaginas: Hazel Jones Gets $1m Porn Offer From Vivid Entertainment http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/01/20/woman-with-two-vaginas-hazel-jones-gets-1m-porn-offer-from-vivid-entertainment_n_1218413.html then he is a fool to make an offer like that if Vivid doesn't have the back to offer to Sasha Grey the sort of deal I suggest. Do I think Steve Hirsch is a fool? No. Would a new Sasha Grey porn movie just get put on a tube site - the whole movie - for free? Someone would try, but it wouldn't stay up for long if the producers weren't in on the deal. If it stayed up it would probably be as one of those premium HD movies that all the big tube sites feature now which you have to sign up and pay to watch, and the copyright owners would be getting their cut. The porn tubes used to be illegal now most of them are corporate. Most of the big ones are owned by companies which own porn studios. The smaller ones are owned by their affiliates. Some tube sites even have their own affiliate program. The tubes are all about making money for the AEE business now. It's the torrents where the stolen stuff is. And you could find yourself getting sued if you download stuff from them.
While I think a porn comeback from Sasha would be cool and generate some buzz within the porn industry it wouldn't be that big a deal in the sense of a Tracey Lords return or a "celeb" sex tape type of thing. The reason being is Sasha really hasn't been gone for that long and has big body of work in porn that includes her doing almost everything most (I'm saying most)fans would want to see. If Sasha came back it would be more of a "business as usual" type thing. I actually think someone like Jenna Jameson or Tera Patrick coming back doing harder stuff would be more of a big deal because the list of things they haven't done is pretty long and it would give fans something they never done before that they couldn't get from watching their old stuff.
If her behavior as a teen was as reprehensible as it seems, then she almost totally lacks any sense of decency, and she is capable of executing imaginative and self-serving plans with little regard for how her actions impact the people she comes in contact with. I lack her imagination, but she could, for instance, bring an underage "assistant" on set, who might then seduce a crew member into paying her for sex. If you're thinking, "Any producer could just ask to see the driver's license of anyone she brings on set," then you are forgetting history. As a fifteen-year-old high school dropout, she had a fraudulently acquired driver's license. More importantly, she came up with a very imaginative way to make a living as a teen, propel herself to fame, and make a tidy $100,000 in the bargain. She has no compunction about hurting others, particularly the people she had worked with for three years, in the bargain. She has said nothing to indicate that she looks back on her actions as a teen as having been improper in any way, so I would imagine that maturity hasn't cured her of the underlying character defect. In fairness, I have gained my impression of her from an industry insider's account. No doubt she doesn't consider herself a sociopath, but anyone in the porn industry would need to be very cautious about having anything to do with her at all.
I could have sworn that I remember that Steven St. Croix had a contract with Vivid video back in the 90s and he filmed with another company ad Vivid's owne terminated his contract...maybe i'm wrong.
To this day Jim South still has an underage sex conviction on his criminal record. Luckily the judge went easy on him and sentenced him to probation. He decided to plead out rather than spend $100K he didn't have to defend himself. Tom Byron also got screwed royally as he dated her while she was in porn, he came within a razor's edge of going to prison for life over this issue. As I recall the only thing that saved a lot of people from going to prison is that Tracy had obtained a legitimate US passport with her fake age and identity and used it as ID on a set.
^ I forget the details, but I think she used one government ID to get another. She may have used the passport to get the driver's license. Either way, I think she had two government issued IDs, and was showing them to porn producers.
^ And that's the reason nobody serve any jail time.If they went on and prosecuted, the Goverment would have to admit they F$%K up by giving Tracey those 2 I.D'S.When was the last time the Goverment admited they F$%K up?
^ If that happened today, the government would send Traci to jail for 130 years for revealing that they made a mistake. *cough* Bradley Manning *cough*
I think I've read in this forum that there are some actresses who have flaked out on so many bookings (often due to drug use) that they get fewer and fewer jobs. If a performer's reputation became so bad that no one will hire her, would you consider that being blacklisted?
he was asked about her so he answered truthfully. he really didn't say anything bad about her, just about how she is thought of by others in the porn industry. Edited by - mike23 on 8/11/2013 12:12:20 PM

I hadn't heard that one. There is a Steven St. Croix still performing today, if he is the same one you are commenting on (he is of sufficient age to be the same guy) he is definitely not blackballed.
Yes, this is the same one; sure, he isn't blacklisted today. I meant that I read that he was blacklisted from appearing in Vivid films after her performed for another company and supposedly wasn't suppose to. He was the first, or one of the first contract performers for Vivid and had an exclusive contract with them; when he supposedly broke it, he didn't appear in any more Vivid films. I didn't see him in anymore after that, so I assume it was true. Certainly didn't hurt his career, though, since he is still out there performing much better and more hardcore stuff, anyway.
LOL! Absolutely correct! In fact "dnice" you uncovered one of those guys and it is me. I had problems with Janine's tats but, upon further review, I definitely would jump at the chance to jump on her bones! Thanks for the splash of cold water to remind me of the reality of a situation.

I like Janine's tats, that woman just grows sexier with age. Hasn't Chasey Lain been blacklisted for all the on set druggy antics? ________________________________________________ Please ID these girls from PlayboyTV's Foursome show Edited by - hoochimama on 8/23/2013 5:25:02 PM
I tell you who should be blacklisted! Annette Haven! Granted she has been out of the business since the early 80s. But have you seen how awful her Facebook pages are? It is an insult to people on a lot of levels. I'm not going to give the links because it might be against the rules. I'm sure everyone knows how to do FB searches on their own. All she does is promote her past work on her pages. She brags that she is an AVN Hall of Fame member. She promotes herself as a "role model" to other women because she never did hardcore. She says all the girls who choose to do hardcore have no proper role models or they don't have the guts to say "no" to stuff. She calls various former male co-stars, directors, producers, and fans "pigs".. She gets a kick out of banning people then makes it a public status to mock and make fun of them on her pages! When people try to stand up to her, she'll try to turn it around on them, by saying they are the bullies. She also claims to be suffering from some sort of chronic illness. When people try to take her task, she'll hide behind her health too. She actually tells people to lay off before they make her ill the rest of the day if things get too heated. I was shocked by a lot of the comments I read on her pages. She holds on to the past with her time in the business, yet she seems to hate the business outside of her own work! I don't know if it's possible, but I'd love to see her thrown out of the AVN Hall of Fame and stripped of other award titles because of her comments.

I can definitely see Mr. Marcus returning to porn again. Some people will forever hold what he did against him. But others can move on and forget about it. Personally, I'm all for seeing him make a return.
There's no such thing as "a real friend" in the porn industry. At least not from what I've seen. There is so much backstabbing and underhanded treachery in the porn industry. Also, pettiness runs rampant in the porn industry. People are "good friends" one day, and then turn against each other the next day, usually over the most trivial things. It doesn't surprise me that when people leave, they tend to turn against the industry and want nothing to do with anyone in it anymore. After all, there's usually a reason that they leave in the first place.
I don't know Sasha, and have never met her. But I do know someone in the industry who told me that Sasha Grey is "a terrible human being." He didn't offer any details, and I wasn't interested enough to ask at the time. But even if what he said is true, I don't see what's so unusual about that. Porn is filled with terrible human beings. In fact, I would consider the person who told me this to be a terrible human being himself. So I might be somewhat skeptical of his credibility on this matter. Besides, as a general rule, I don't like to go by hearsay anyway.
Sasha Grey is a bit strange. She's totally into her own self and her own projects. She just posted that she's in Rio this weekend. I guess she wrote some kind of erotic novel and plays on it. She's been around the world with that, and she Djs at clubs. I knew a few girls that knew her and they all said she was cool. I think she comes off phony and pretentious. She promotes herself as an artist. I don't think she's a good actress. I dont think she will make it far in mainstream if she plans to continue. But what I did found shocking and out of character from her was a Tweet and FB post she made right after news broke about Ron Jeremy months ago. It was something like "what are your views about networking at funerals? in bad taste?" Clearly it seemed to be directed towards Ron's situation as if he was going to die and she was looking to get new projects off it! Edited by - StoneHoliday on 8/25/2013 12:23:55 AM
I don't know why some people want to believe Sasha is a bad person. I guess some fans don't like the fact that she left porn and is having a level of success without it and I'd have to image there are performers in porn who look at her success in and out of porn and wonder "Why her and not me? What makes her so special?". I've hear several interviews with Sasha since she left porn and she's more than okay with her porn career and is comfortable talking about it and she seems to have a level head about her success and seems happy. Tera Patrick is quite the opposite. Tera acknowledges she did porn but doesn't want to be questioned about it and tries to come off like she's above it. Plus she has an attitude. The last 2 interviews I heard with Tera the people who interviewed her were sorry they had her on.
My only problem with Sasha is in the beginning she tried too hard to come across as an intellectual and regularly put down other pornstars as not so smart. She's probably never going to be a big mainstream star but she'll be able to have a career doing the stuff she's doing now for quite awhile. DJ-ing is hot right now and pays extremely well. There are lots of jobs "celebs" at her level can do and get paid well for it that some people aren't aware of. And again...I don't see her returning to porn but if she chose to do so it would be a big deal for a lot of people.
Draxxx I get you. But I never said she was a bad person. She just comes across as a "hippy dippy" type a lot of times. The comment that had to be towards Ron was the worst thing I've seen about her so far. Oh no doubt. There were tons of people upset when she left porn. I know to never say never. If she ever did make a come back, it would be the biggest thing to happen to porn in recent memory. It would be one of the biggest comebacks ever. I have to give her credit. She gave all of herself for the business to entertain people. I have far more respect for her than the likes of an Annette Haven. I've never seen her publicly bash the business. She just wants to move on in hopes of other careers. But a lot of fans won't let her. You take a look at her social media stuff. She has tons of people begging for her to come back or saying terrible things to her. She seems to ignore it all like a trooper and continues to do her own thing living life to the fullest.
Honestly if they do what they do and success post adult film career that's fine but if she throws people under the bus these things she's wrong for that honestly people should just to stay in their lanes and just focus on them instead ranking people or a career that has provided a way of living for themselves.
I think Sasha could make a comeback in porn as well. As for being a DJ, Jessie Andrews also does that in some friend's club from time to time. I don't see either one making big money off of it. At least in my area a DJ is lucky to make $200 a night and he has to provide all of his own equipment (which costs a couple thousand dollars), a large van or pickup truck with topper to haul it in and music (covering the per-use charges from the copyright holder which is a few cents per song play). A person would have to DJ twice a week for several months in order to start coming out ahead on the deal. The chances of someone being able to obtain DJ gigs regularly (at least in my area) is nil unless the person has a friend with a club that hires him regularly.
It's probably a good guess that Sasha gets more money and perks doing this because of her big name. I bet she even gets her trans and hotels paid for in some cases. Clubs probably book her and all she does is show up to clubs to perform. In return, the club probably hopes for a big turn out of people just wanting to see her. It's amazing how much of a big following she has all over the world. Edited by - StoneHoliday on 8/26/2013 2:41:25 AM

We aren't talking local clubs were a hundred people might show up. The kind of clubs people like Sasha or Pauly from the JERSEY SHORE do are huge clubs that usually have hundres (thousands?) of people attending. I'm guess Sasha easily makes thosands of dollars a gig. Well known DJs make tens of thousands a night. These types of clubs pay celebs like Kim Kardashian about 30 thousand just to show up.
^ Kim Kardashian gets $30K just to show up at a rave? I am in the wrong business. May I marry Kris Jenner's hot 18 year old daughter so I can get $30K to party? Hell for $30K a night I would even fuck Kris Jenner herself (and she is sort of ugly). I might even consider learning how to DJ myself for that kind of money (here's me DJing: How about a round of applause for the next Melissa Manchester song).
Was Kira Kener blacklisted after suing Vivid? I recall reading an article back then where she talked about a desire to work elsewhere after the lawsuit was over. Outside of a virtual sex video I don't think she ever worked in the business again.
I'm a fan of Kira. I liked her look. But it's tricky to say if a girl is a "boring" performer or they're working for a director/studio that wants a vanilla type of performance. I've seen some great Gonzo girls do scenes for VIVID and other feature type studios and their scenes don't have nearly as much heat as their Gonzo stuff. Also, there have been plenty of contract girls who become a totally different type of performer when they leave their contract girl studio. Alexis Ford is an example of that.
There is a lot of intimidation and strong-arming in porn, particularly when it comes to talent. This is true on both the straight and gay sides. I guess it must be a holdover from the time that porn was run by organized crime - some of those "value systems" and cultural traditions have endured. I have indeed been told by agents that if I hire a model with whom he or she is having a dispute that I will be banned from hiring any other models with the agency, or suffer any number of other repurcussions (I've even been threatened with lawsuits.) Coming from the mainstream business world I laughed at those kinds of threats at first, until I realized that the agents were serious and, furthermore, that studios took them seriously and told me to "avoid drama" with them by cooperating. Recently, a competitior of mine pulled his movies from the AEBN vod site because AEBN is partners with me and he was trying to force them to end that partnership. He has threatened them since it was first announced that they were opening a studio with me. If my movies didn't sell the way they do I would have been pushed out of this industry a very long time ago. And if they ever stop selling, you'll see me disappear in the blink of an eye, because NOBODY wants the long time systems here challenged. I've had zero support any time I've stood up to anyone in the business for making outrageous threats or resorting to intimidation, slander or other unethical means of "persuasion." I've learned to choose my battles a little better, and occasionally even go the "catch more bees with honey" route, but it's very dispiriting.
Sasha Grey has apparently just moved on. I think the question was more whether or not girls who still want to work in porn get blacklisted for various reasons. I think it would be a bad thing for the industry overall if it's happening frequently and for petty reasons. I could see it happening to someone like Traci Lords. What she did was really something you don't get forgiven for.
It happens frequently and for petty reasons, yes. It's bullying, basically. Playground tactics. Otherwise the blacklisting is kind of implied, like in cases where someone alters test results (Mr. Marcus has not resumed his status as a mainstream adult performer in the industry). Scandal involving elaborate deception of any kind (particularly health) can turn the industry against someone to the point where no formal "blacklisting" efforts are even needed. The stuff I see on a regular basis is all very petty and personal - usually an agent's belief that a performer owes them money or has no right to end the contract, etc.
IMO there shouldn't even be agent contracts in porn. Or at least not really long ones. (I've heard of 1- and 2-year contracts - that's a lifetime in porn!) The girl already gives you 15% of her earnings with each shoot you book for her. What more do you want from her? What more could she owe you? Now, if the girl actually owes you money that is due to you, of course that's a different story. She should pay what you both agreed to her paying. But any conditions beyond that just seem greedy.
From Sasha Grey social media. She's doing fine outside of porn around the world. More proof it seems here: "Thank you Brazil @ everyone at Leya. My book is NUMBER ONE best seller in Brazil"
Yeah it's obvious Sasha Grey doesn't need the porn world anymore. She used it for her own purposes and was successful. I guess I can see why so many people are bitter towards her. She really did outsmart a lot of people, which lays waste to the claim that she isn't as smart as she thinks she is, because she obviously is very smart. Unline 99.99% of the girls who do porn, she was able to pull away from the gravitational force and get herself into orbit.

For whatever it's worth: books written by prostitutes have been very popular in Brazil for a long time(Bruna Surfistinha & co). ________________________________________________ Please ID these girls from PlayboyTV's Foursome show Edited by - hoochimama on 8/29/2013 12:37:23 PM
