Recently, I discovered that my wife tells her best girlfriend everything we do together in bed. My cousin likes to tell me the sexual things he does with his wife also. To me, it seems disrespectful to tell friends and family the intimate details of a couple's sex life. Remember the scene in the HBO show, "The Soprano's" where the girlfriend of the boss told her girlfriends about him performing oral sex on her? I feel the same way. It has affected my relations with my wife to the point where I don't want to have sex with her anymore so she won't have a "report" for her nosy girlfriend. Any advice?
Get over it. A lot of people, men and women, need to share experiences with others in order to fully process them mentally and emotionally. It is also social, especially with women, to share emotional/intimate experiences. (That's one of the reasons women talk about childbirth so much.) There is often an element of bragging and one-upsmanship, too, because people are just plain insecure and want confirmation from others that their experiences are positive or at least "normal". Your wife talks about her sex life because she wants to feel good about it. You should be happy about that.

I have NO desire to share my sex life with anyone that I'm not having sex with.

Thanks Kimi. I've been trying to get this issue resolved with my wife. I'll take your advice, and accept the fact that she needs to express herself to her friend for her own good. I appreciate your help.

I don't go into details too much because I know it would not make my girlfriend happy to know I discussed such things with other women (I don't do the boys bragging thing at my age) but I wouldn't mind if she talked about it with other women.
The main topic of conversation between myself and my male friends is sex..., who with, where and how, in very graphic detail too. It's not done in a bragging manor, nor is it derogatory to our female partners. I've always thought that women love to talk about sex amongst themselves as well, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest to be discussed and I would even find it quite a turn on, to think that they do so.
Given that the only time I've ever overheard a significant other discussing our sex life, was when she was telling a coworker how "amazingly good in bed" I was, I can't really say I have a problem with it. :-)
That's the nice thing about having a wife who gets really dirty in the bedroom. She wouldn't admit what goes on in there to anyone. Likewise, I don't tell my friends how dirty we get because I don't want them getting any ideas...
Interesting, you can tell us though? She is really dirty....in what way? I'm always intrigued when people say they have dirty sex, what do you define as dirty sex? Are you talking just plain normal stuff like anal or snowballing...., or real filth like watersports and hardsports?
Mostly just really dirty talk and lots of toy usage. If you're really interested I talk about it in detail on another site. The link can be found under "Who has a small cock?" here in the Sex Talk forum.
