Well then you have obviously misunderstood me. I understand that porn is fantasy and this is not a forum to discuss real everyday life but the average white or black man on the street in America or Europe according to countless surveys is no longer than 5.5 inches. But there's over a billion Africans, and tremendous diversity within. Maybe those select Nigerians were only marginally larger than worldwide average. Maybe they were well below average for Africa. Check the link and read it yourself. I'm not saying this is a huge difference, but it does seem pretty clear there's a distinct discrepancy with Bill's conclusions. And reiterating my first statement in this post, I am not overly convinced of such studies however well meaning they may be. I find them interesting, but I don't put too much stock into any one study. I also don't claim it's a vast conspiracy by white scholars or so-called white academia to suppress the truth. I just have doubts about the veracity on the matter, especially given some dubious sources. I actually have come across some arguments that tried to mislead people into thinking blacks actually had the smallest penises, by comparing one study by one researcher with other studies by other researchers, under different constraints and not accounting for variables like age (good grief!). They actually compared studies of men from non-African groups who were all fully developed, with a study of African subjects who were not only NOT fully developed, but not erect. It was a study comparing flaccid lengths, and they used the results of grown men against boys. Kinda ridiculous and biased to say the least. I knew something was up when it showed the Korean group was larger than the African. Not to be a slight against east Asians, but it's well known by their own research that they report typically on the bottom of international charts. However, this is all quite broad and not sufficient to cast aspersions or boast victoriously. If someone has to draw from statistical study of race to put others down or feel better about themselves, they have already be victimized by statistics and narrow-mindedness. Some studies show this, while other studies show that. I welcome impartial contributions, be they subjective or academic. Let's just try not to engage in the latter unless you're sincerely being circumspect, that is without bias. I'm indifferent to IR. At the risk of sounding like Stephen Colbert "I don't see colour" The performers are either good or bad and same goes for the scene. If the performers have no chemistry, or the production values are lousy, then the colour of skin is quite irrelevant. That being said however; I find that a rather large amount of the IR porn produced has some racist undertones, which I personally find offensive. I don't know if that is part of the appeal for some people, but it does nothing for me so I tend to stay clear of studios and companies that seem to play that aspect up.
I heard that. I am not quick to flat out call them racist for the way they present the subject of IR, but you're right some of those companies clearly push it as "degrading" or something. What bothers me more isn't so much the "edgy" or "racyness" but the quality of the presentation. Quality in itself speaks volumes to me. I think a company can be as edgy and anti-PC, and racy (not to be confused with racist), and dirty and trashy as they want, as long as they show good professional quality. It's kind of like how stand up comedy goes. If a comedian is really funny, they can get away with saying more outrageous shit. But if they are not funny, then it just seems pitiful and offensive. So there's a certain brand out there that tries to be "edgy" or "racy" but if it's not sexy, then it's just pitiful and offensive. If the quality was better then it could at least be sexy. One example of these well trodden tropes in porn, not just IR, is cheating wives. That's a theme found in vanilla as well. But with IR, depending on the company and presentation, it can come off as cliche and stereotypical to me for some reason, even though vanilla has this cheating theme as well. If we see a vanilla scene on Brazzers with cheating, no one really says "Oh that's so stereotypical and cliche." But if it's an IR scene, then critics call it stereotypical and cliche. So in this regard, sometimes IR is unfairly scrutinized. It's like it's ok for vanilla porn to be edgy and racy, having cheating themes or white trash raw passion, but people don't criticize that. With IR critics may sometimes have knives out. So that to me shows a double standard, which is unfair. That's why in terms of just being edgy, racy, provocative, etc, I say it should be fair game for IR just like vanilla. I try not to criticize "thuggish" portrayals because I know they do it in vanilla all the time, but no one criticizes it. What's more important to me is, is this company or brand only presenting black dudes like thugs? Can't they also be regular blue collar, white collar, or rich dudes with class? The so-called "thug" angle is no problem to me, as long as it's not the only type. Same with the women. Is this company presenting women only as trashy whores? Again, the trashy whore angle is no problem, as long as it's not the only type. Varying is good. To me the main issue is quality. It's about how much quality a particular brand puts in it. So while it's true there is a lot of cheating themes in IR porn, I don't think the companies that put good quality in their product should be lumped in with the low quality ones. West Coast Productions presents a good example of quality presentation of these themes with their series "Housewives Gone Black." Instead of criticizing this well trodden theme as a cliche (which pretty much all porn comes down to), I appreciate the quality that they put into this series. They put effort into locations, writing, and even acting. That's stuff that makes it sexy. Without this effort in quality production, you're just left with the cliche, and it's not as sexy. The BEST recent example of how to do it right is how Blacked is doing it. The cheating theme does still come up here and there, but they also diversify the plots. They present several different scenarios. Best of all is the photography being of top tier quality so it's very professional and polished. That doesn't mean they can't also explore edgy and dirty content. I think it allows them to do both. And like how the comedian who is actually funny can say outrageous things (e.g. Chris Rock, Louis CK), Blacked is actually sexy, so they can be more wild and freaky. IMO the best companies out there clearly understand quality is most important, so they know how to present IR. These are Jules Jordan Video, Blacked, ArchAngel, BangBros, Evil Angel, Digital Sin, and West Coast Prod. I think the offensive impression you get is something I also have recognized in some companies styles, and Dogfart is a prime example. And for whatever reason, they've been #1 in IR for far too long. But I think the arrival and success of newer brands like Blacked and Arch Angel are signifying a shift back toward quality first. Incidentally, I think the main reason Dogfart took off in the first place was because they were just taking other company's content like Anabolic and Evil Angel's stuff and putting it online and charging for it. So it wasn't even their creations, and to this day, the best content Dogfart have put out is still the stuff they took from those DVD companies who actually put quality into their work. That's how they established themselves, and since then they have somehow maintained being #1 putting out the most content but also the cheapest. They must have produced thousands of scenes in Billy Watson's lame garage with the same 3 fake walls. And also I agree that chemistry is important. The brands that tend to push the trashy and degrading factor the most, at the expense of quality, also tend to present sex with the least chemistry. They just seem too fake and phoned in. And even though Blacked utilizes some scripting for their various scenarios, the quality goes a long way in how the girls get turned on. I think some folks would be surprised just how influential a good setting with good lighting and presentation can be in helping inspire on-set chemistry. I like it. For me the first and most important thing is the actress; must be very attractive and appealing to me regardless of race. She must also be a stone exhibitionist (almost all are) and be able to appear to be into it all (don't care if it's acting or real as long as it fools me). I'm neither black or white. Interracial tends to mean either off those two categories at least in most of the references I see on this forum. With that said and using it as a reference for my answer I never really cared much about the male talent or much for the color of the female for that matter.
