Was just wondering about the porn collecting habits of most porn fans. Are you constantly looking for new girls in the industry and randomly collecting their scenes, or do you stick to and follow industry veterans? I tend to stick to industry veterans and only collect from a small amount of porn stars. A new girl has to be very special for me to start collecting her scenes. The reason Im starting this thread is that Im starting to suspect that the porn companies are always trying to shoot "new" girls at the expense of veterans - even tried and true and popular and reliable veterans. Im concerned about this because I feel that in the long run this makes it unlikely that the highest quality women will enter porn.

^I encounter new performers on the websites I'm subscribed to and they sometimes catch my interest, but I don't look for them. As for vets, if I've seen them in a mass number of scenes and I have a lot of those scenes in my possession, I often find that I'll watch their new scenes less and less.
Well, the veterans I like were all new at one time so I had to take a chance on them at one point. As for how I decide to give newbies a shot, I actually pay attention to this forum quite a bit. There are so many new girls it can be hard to sort the wheat from the chaff. If I see a new girl's thread is blowing up with replies I definitely take notice. However, I've noticed that new girls don't typically start off shooting for the companies I think are the best (HardX, JJV, Evil Angel), so I typically have to wait a while before I can watch them in action.
Both. If one is into 18-year-old girls probably looks more for new performers. Personally being mainly into mature women I don't have that problem, so I stick with the veterans AND look for new performers, young and not.
That can be a tough question to answer because for some people a veteran is a performer that has been in the industry for 5 years while others it's much further. For me it's not a question of looking for veterans or newbies but the porn scene or movie that I look for. I love porn from the 70's and 80's and almost every performer from those era's would be considered veterans now.
Depends on a lot of factors. I lean more towards the veterans because a lot of these newer pornstars are lousy. I will watch new girls if they are hot and do the type of porn I like. Otherwise I don't actively search for new pornstars. And yeah we need a clear definition of what's a veteran. 3 years? 5? 10?
I don't really look for new girls. Over time I've built up a decent list of girls I like so I tend to stick with those. On very rare occasions a new girl do catch my interest tho.
I do seek out newer girls and follow them IF I see or get a feeling that they are worth watching and get better in their scenes (Cristi Ann for example). If a new girl just shows up, I watch a couple of her scenes, have a nice body, is a doll in the face, have a nice set of enhanced tits, but performs like a fucking brick wall I will ignore the rest of any of her scene. Having a nice body and a good look won't cut it for me. I still watch some scene from veterans here and then that I like but I mostly search for newer stars. I actually Watch Veterans I like or trust in scenes with new girls that catch my eye to see if they have potential. If they can hang in a G/G with a veteran then they stay on my radar.

At the risk of sounding like a crazy person...um, I just look for performers that give me a boner. Sure, I have favorites who've been in the business for a couple years (veterans), but as a porn addict, I'm always going to be looking for that next fix (new girl). Additionally, I've never had any interest in collecting all of a girl's scenes, instead, I'll just watch the scenes she's done for the studios/sites that I like.
Obviously, I have favourite performers but I follow genres rather than girls. Couldn't give a hoot whether a girl is 'new' or not, in fact, I'm mystified by the incessant clamouring for 'new' porn. There's enough material already out there to last anyone to the end of their days; I just don't get why some people always have to be watching the 'latest' thing.
For the purposes of this discussion lets say that someone like Dani Daniels is barely a veteran. She is the type of star that I am concerned is getting shunned for "new girls".

^ Dani Daniels "shunned?" Uh, she was just awarded with XBIZ's "Female Performer of the Year" award last week, when many porn fans, myself included, feel that she didn't do enough in the 2015 nomination year to warrant such an honor. (Hopefully, AVN will pick a winner who is more worthy of the honor at their awards show this weekend.) As for what constitutes a "veteran" performer-considering how quickly many newcomers abruptly leave the industry within the first couple weeks/months of arriving, I consider any girl who's been in the game for 2+ years to be a veteran.
