There's a lot of stuff happening in a porn scene. The interesting stuff may or may not be intentional.

One thing MH did was reintroduce a dark psychological element to porn that had kind of disappeared after the 70's. So some of the porn I like has a flow where if you followed along to your current 'favorite part' from the beginning you seriously might find you like that part even more in context.

There's also a bunch of good porn out there that seriously could be edited down to 10-12
minute scenes.

The thing is that I tend to multitask around my jacking off lol. For example, I will sit down, play Fifa on my PS4 will my laptop is on the floor in front of me with some porno playing. When there is a lull in play I will watch the porn and jack it off a bit.

I will edit for awhile, then edge for awhile, have a couple of drinks and edit some more, more edging, rinse and repeat! LOL! The long answer is I respect the process that comes along with making a scene. From the time the girls put in to make themselves look the part with getting their hair done, nails done, makeup, in general looking and acting the part of what character they are playing. For example, "The Producer" series for AllHerLuv or "Perspective" for DigitalPlayground. Im a g/g fan so watching how the star Cadence Lux for "The Producer" series and then Angela White for "Perspective" like thats some serious acting right there. It would do no justice to fastforward through it. Plus I love a good storyline because it make the sex so much better. The scene with Cadence and Whitney Wright for "The Producer II" I enjoyed every second of it. Thats my favorite g/g scene. It gave me intensity, humor, and drama and thats BEFORE the sex.

Also too directors they go through alot to come up with creative and great stories. Most of which they cant even use because of restrictions. I remember talking to an all-time favorite director who retired and she said she always is critical of her work in terms of the idea in her head and the vision she has then the finishing product. Then when I think about the sex itself I love to notice the little details. For example, girls playing with each others hair, eye contact, communication like if a girl tells the other girl how great they smell or how great their pussy taste like. Plus for me I love longer scenes because if done right there is no rush with the storyline and/or sex involved. That gives the performers a chance to get or show their chemistry and that makes the scene that much hotter and better to me.

For gonzo releases, I will often watch just one scene, especially if I have seen it before, but usually if I am new to it, I will try to watch at least a bit of every scene, and if I like it then I will sometimes watch the whole scene or even the whole movie. That was back in the Elegant Angel/Mason glory days though. Now that porn has shifted to online, scene-based stuff, there are episodes of series or "short films" (45min scenes that hold a semi-narrative) and, again if it's good, I will usually watch the whole thing.

In the VHS era, I often rented a softcore title, and a couple of hardcore titles, so I would get in the mood with the softcore feature, and then finish with some hardcore.

By the DVD era, I started renting more all-sex titles, which meant I was more focused on scenes than the movies.

My Dad would edit commercials out of 3 or 4 mainstream movies that he recorded onto 6 hour VHS tapes with a heavy top-loading machine.

He had a buddy at work doing the same thing with porn films so my Dad would buy 6 hour tapes of 4 sometimes 5 xxx classic films. So, when my Dad retired at age 55, he invited a bunch of his work buddies over for a porn party of sorts. He put on one of those 6 hour tapes and two or three of his pals watched Debbie Does Dallas, Sex Boat, Babylon Pink and one or two others all on one tape. I showed up at the end of their viewing and caught Shows I and II, which was two different couples fucking on camera with the radio playing Neil Diamond Sweet Caroline and other tunes in the background.
