Does anybody know about running dual displays off of a laptop? I want the laptop screen and an external monitor to show different things. Is there an easy way to control this?
For that matter, how do I do it off of a laptop?

Is there a way to switch from dual displays to single display modes and have your programs that were on the satellite display switch to the primary? I was watching a DVD on my 2nd monitor and switched into single display mode. Now I can hear the sounds from my DVD but since I was using my program (Media Player Classic) I can no longer see it. Or turn it off aside from killing the process. The problem arises when I start MPC again it thinks it is in the other display, even though I can't interact with it. Is there an easy way to switch over or do I have to restart on dual-display mode and move it myself then restart on single? I hope that made sense... [Link] |

It's very handy and helps provide more natural mouse movement from screen to screen. [Link] |

I cand start the clip in video player on the second monitor (the SVHS 'moniter' in this case) and all is well. But if I switch it back over to my main display, I can still hear it playing thru the speakers but can't restor the Media Classic player to the main display. I think it's a glitch with Media Player. I've done this with VLC and the DIVX Player and both work fine. Media player just won't let me restore. [Link] |
