I remember some behind the scenes footage of a certain video where the director instructed the model she could make all the noise she wanted because after all this is a porn studio, the problem with that theory is 90% of porn video is watched in homes and neighborhoods within earshot of others like family and friends, you the viewer would rather be discreet about your viewing habits and it's impossible to watch porn with the volume up, in fact a funny thing I read once a guy mentioned he wished they dubbed the sound of a tennis match over his porn so his neighbors would think he was watching Wimbledon or something!

I prefer lesbian porn, in fact I watch lesbian porn exclusively, and my motto is no toys, no noise, and it's not just the fact it'll wake the neighborhood up, but it ruins any sense of reality in a porn film, which is the key to everything really, the sense that it's real is what turns me on the most, the screaming and overacting kills it, I prefer my porn quiet and subtle, don't need all that over the top shit, but unfortunately in this world over the top shit sells, so we'll continue to watch porn with the volume down forever I guess.

I know in reality of course if your partner is screaming in ecstasy during sex you think my God I must be doing a good job, and it's a huge turn on, producers and actors in porn are trying to capture that reality on film, and I don't fault the actors for putting on a good show, and it sells, it's good for business, it's the patently obvious fakery that turns me off, like when the model is screaming at the top of her lungs saying things like, "YEAH BABY FUCK THAT PUSSY, FUCK IT RIGHT OH YEAH"!

It's a little more natural to hear, "OH MY GOD...OH MY GOOOOOOD"!

Someone mentioned European porn is quieter, I happen to agree with that, it's one of the reasons I think I've gone to European porn over the last decade, the problem is sometimes they're too quiet, in other words they don't say a thing, there's no dialogue, I just want to state for the record the failure to have European models speak their native tongue is almost as bad as American screaming!
