Does anyone know if eBay still has an Adult category where sellers could put DVDs up for auction? I know they used to, but now I can't find it. Thanks for any info

I think (and I could be wrong) that ebay stopped endorsing sales of adult material through their site. Again... I might be totally wrong there.

Anyway, this probably belongs in the shopping forum.

It is really strange but after almost completely dying out when they started to inforce thier rules they have come back in a big way and the adult section is large, but this leads to another question. I have heard that Paypal (which is owned now by ebay) does not let you deal with adult items, so to be honest I am very confused.

You can still buy adult items on eBay. Its in the Mature Audiences category.

You CANNOT pay for adult items with Paypal tho. EBay bought Paypal, and ever since Paypal just sucks. You have to pay with checks, cash, or whatever. If they catch you using Paypal for adult items, they will delete your account.

When selling dvds in this forum i ask buyers to abbreviate titles if using paypal.

I have had one paypal account closed before because of selling porn. Luckily they paid my balance straight into my bank....they often sit on it for 6 months in case of credit card chargebacks (apparently porn is a high risk business for credit card fraud).

That's not strictly true.
I live in the UK and bought some porn dvds using paypal and ebay from the states. I got ripped off.
Get this - I contacted paypal, told them what I'd bought and also that I'd used a phoney ebay account with my address as a burger king in LA so that I could view the mature audiences category. Paypal gave the seller the usual notice then took the money back from him and gavi it back to me without so much as a ticking off!!
You are right though that paypal could get nasty with you about it - maybe they just appreciated my total honesty that day!!

Need to go to the Everything Else main section category and then look for Mature Audience subcategory. Lot of stuff!

You can't in the UK, because of the laws involved. If you do manage it on eBayUK then you have to avoid PayPal.

You must be kidding... I wish I could buy and sell adult DVD's on Ebay at my place. Yeah, I know about the DVD trading forums on this site but with "unbelievable 4 hours of porn on one single DVD, and you won't have to watch again what you already saw on the cover" some of you might believe it could be a rip-off, eventually.
Oh, well... I only pay with Paypal anyway, so who cares?

WTF? Pay with Paypay anyway?

Just started buying stuff on eBay, and there is lots of porn there, however it mostly sems to be either overbid and/or bootlegged. And the shipping & handling!!! Stick with ADT.

I have bought adult DVDs on ebay a few times. In the USA, you have to watch the DVDs coming from Canada, because they will often be the heavily edited Valentine Video re-releases. I got burned with that once. Lessons Learned, I typically will now only buy from a wahoo like myself who is selling something only watched once. You know, the guy selling antique car parts, vintage postcards, his wife's beanie babies, and a couple porn DVDs he had laying around.
