You might be right, it's interesting how she keeps coming back to this topic again and again, i.e. porn, stripping, sex workers, etc. It could be that she and her staff are simply too lazy or not creative enough to investigate other topics, need the ratings or Trya just takes it as an opportunity to display her self-righteous, judgmental and narrow-minded sides. And she always comes across as someone who actually finds sex "icky" in all its forms...
I wouldn't say Tyra wants to do porn but sex-related shows have to be sure-fire ratings grabbers. And November sweeps are right around the corner. Don't be surprised to see this show or series of shows air during that time. [Link]

Why not? Isn't this a perfect forum for being brutally honest, and maybe even calling out the media's pandering of porno for their own ratings bonanza. Besides, what could you say negatively about the industry that they aren't already going to conclude no matter what? Let it rip. Honesty is always the best policy.
I think she's referring to the fear that no matter what she says it most likely will be creatively edited to give it another yet conflicting slant to what she actually says. I'd say that's a realistic concern. I didn't take it to mean that Sinnamon would hold back or flat-out lie. She definitely strikes me as the type of girl who will speak her mind. I've been back home for a few days and I will say the show went better than I expected. She got in one good jab, but it will basically make her look like a bully as opposed to making me look bad. I got lots of face time in her little social experiment, and it was funny/ sad hearing her say that she was surprised at how easily I took the role of leader so easily... (I know, porn stars aren't supposed to be intelligent...) All in all, the show airs November 17, and was changedfrom "Pornville" to "Porntown." Let me know what you think!

When I first saw that they picked you for this show I was somewhat skeptical but I gotta give you credit Sinnamon, you did a good job. You presented yourself and the industry quite well. The show was designed to do exactly what it did and that was make you guys establish a pecking order and the ensuing "Lord of the Flies" type scenario. Bottom line I think they made a good choice and I think you represented us well. Now every other motherfucker on this board may say the same thing or something different but people who read me daily know I dont dish compliments lightly you earned it. Good Job
Why thank you very much Mike. :) I know you don't issue compliments lightly so I take this sincerely. I was aware going in that Tyra always tries to downplay the sex industry and only uses it for ratings... so I was certain to chose my words carefully. I will say that the show's producers used very pointed questions in telephone pre-interviews to get the answers they wanted to portray us the way they saw fit. I felt the hierarchy was flawed because 1) Shay Lynn, the magazine model, wasn't outspoken enough to be able to out debate the bunny ranch girl. I also think that everyone just sort of handed her a title to get her to shut the fuck up so she would stop arguing so much. They are supposed to have the rest of the "social experiment" on her website - but with the exception of a clip of us sending the bunny ranch girl to retirement, it seems to not be the case. I sincerely hope they do air it on the site as I think it will be quite telling... Thanks again for the compliment Mike, I do my best to represent myself and my industry as best I can.
What makes me chuckle is Tyra starting off the show saying porn town women are tough on each other....then she forces you to kick one of yourselves off the island! So that's more an example of the host being tough on you. It would have been great if you'd had a way to nominate Tyra as the person to kick out of Porn Town, since she was the part of the social experiment who wasn't working out at all. This hour of television may not have solved the world's problems, but hey, it's TV and that's the American dream, so good appearance!

Hey Sinnamon, I thought you did very well! You came across as an intelligent woman, expressed yourself very well and didn't partake in the petty drama some of the other girls did. I thought it was obvious that Tyra was doing everything she could to make you girls turn against each other and I laughed when she said she had no idea how much drama there would be. :P Sadly not everyone can see through the way they set those shows up but I think you stood out as being a mature and real woman. Good job!
Funny thing... At the beginning of her show, (it was edited out,) she asked the audience how many of them saw us all as the same person - and the majority said they did not. Of course she was surprised and they edited it out. :) There was a lot more that was left on the cutting room floor - such as my response about my kids being old enough to know what I do. (I responded that who I am and what I do are not exclusive, and that my teenagers see me as a liberal parent that they can talk to about anything... something they might not do if I weren't in the biz.) She also edited out a comment that the only reason the stripper won the position of teacher over the webcam girl was because she didn't interact with other girls... And the voting off? Suggested by the producers. I personally would have voted off the street walker, because I think that the quality of life issues along with the legality of her work represent everything wrong with the sex industry.
I actually commented at the end of the show, (edited out of course,) that if you put 7 women of any occupation together there is going to be drama... Its just the nature of women! Lol! I tied to stay clear of the drama. Totally unnecessary.
Exactly! Tyra talking to porno girls about porn is definitely a must see ratings grabber. I did find amusing when they did that show about Tyra going "undercover" as a stripper. The use of the word "undercover" for Tyra to live out a possible fantasy as a stripper is hysterical. Like there is super secret information and lives on the line.

Again, exactly. Having worked the recent show that Oprah did with Tina Turner and Cher in Las Vegas, it will get edited to suit Tyra's ego and also to put the slant on it that they want. Oprah was very upfront with the audience telling them, "You won't see that on TV, that'll be edited it out." etc etc
Miss Love is a big girl and can handle herself. Unfortunately for me, I didn't catch Tyra's show. Is it airing again? And, I miss you Sinnamon. Say hello to Keith for me.

Thank you Mackenzee! The Brooke chick was not just crazy but delusional... I loved how she claimed she made between 500-750k/ year at the ranch - after the house took their 50%. The reality is that 1) if you're paying taxes on that money you should know exactly how much you're making and that's a huge gap. 2) in order to make a million dollars of year, she'd have to make 83k/ month at the ranch. That's almost 3k/ day. I just don't see her making THAT much at the bunny ranch! There was an article on the huffingtonpost the other day about the ranches in Nevada doing poorly because of the recession... but I guess she's the only one not feeling the pinch. ;) The webcam girl, Michelle Honey recently started doing porn and has shot a bit for Playboy TV and Naughty America. All of us crossed one another's line, but the show wanted us to stick within our specified roles. When a pissing contest started, ("I do that too,") the producers quickly demanded that we stick to our outlined job titles to avoid confusion.

That half a million to a million thing is typical bunny ranch nonsense...anyone who can do the math, as you did, quickly can deduce thats complete bullshit. She would be lucky to average 250 a throw there meaning after Dennis gets his half she has to make about 3K a day to hit 1M...do the math thats 20-30 tricks a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. I have a slightly different take on this. I was actually introduced to Dennis and Brooke by a lawyer who handles Hof and my former employer. Brooke was very polite and friendly. The prices charged start at alot more than the $500 implied here. The other reason that Brooke mentions the high salary is as a recruiting tool. Every springtime for the past 10 years that I've lived in Vegas, the newspaper always runs a few articles stressing how much $$$ the strippers make, how much Jenna makes(whether its true or not) and how much young women who dance, then do porn, then feature dance make. Running a few articles in the paper ensures a steady crop of new talent in the clubs. No different for Brooke. She mentions the 1/2 million or so and somewhere there's a few house fraus sitting there watching and they say, "I could do that" and they move to Nevada.

what dennis and brooke say are not necessarily backed up by reality, trust me I know them as well. she is lucky indeed to average 200 dollars a trick before the house cut. Yes she will get some high rollers but for every one of those theres ten regulars who know that the house minimum is 100 bucks and that 200 will pretty much get him whoever he wants.

Just for a comparison when I visited the Bunny Ranch seven years ago I had the pleasure of a young lady for $300 for twenty minutes of suck 'n fuck. I did not, however, try to negotiate the price down.
Thats the point. Even if she's charging 500/ hour, Dennis takes 250, she still has to put in A LOT of work to make that benchmark she's claiming... Its just not possible. My parents watched the show and my stepdad was like, "She'd have to be having a lot of sex to make that much." 'Tis true... Even porn girls that used to come over from the Eastern Block were only averaging 30k/ month for 3 months - and that was doing anal, dp's, et al...
Sinnamon, I recorded the show and just watched it today. First, I thought you looked darling. What a sweet smile. Second, you were very intriguing. I wanted to know more of your story, but unfortunately Tyra didn't seem interested. I thought it was bogus that you all had to run somebody out of town at the end. It would've been cool had you all flat refused. But then, I'm glad that loud-mouth Brooke got the boot. What a narcissist. Also, I thought Tyra should have thrown in at least one lingerie/swimsuit model. I'm sure more that a few boys have beat off to their mothers' Victoria's Secret catalogs. Lastly, my favorite line of the show was from you, when Brooke was spewing about how much money she makes. You said quietly, "I only work four days a month."
