Has anyone else checked out Marc Dorcel's new range of Pornochic anthologies? Herve Bodilis is the director. I picked one up on a recent spree in Soho, London and was pleasantly surprised. Really reminded me of vintage Private. And, for a Dorcel production, it's mercifully condom free...

Not surprising. Wasn't Bodilis a member of the Pierre Woodman entourage at Private?

I have taped a recent Bodilis effort from XXL some weeks ago, with fresh Eastern European talent. Haven't seen it yet, though. I don't remember any credits either, when I checked if I had the beginning and end of the movie. And that is very annoying, IMO.

Herve Bodilis also appears to be a French photographer of gay men, with a number of classy, coffee table books to his name. Does that sound like a former Woodman stud?

Intriguing...

Where did I say that he was a "former Woodman stud"?

Was it really that good? I used to have "Carré de chattes" by the same director (JTC) and it was really average

Dorcel DVDs are typically expensive (unless you take advantage of their special sales) so a DVD had better be excellent if they want me to spend my money!

Hervé Bodilis = Hustler's Patrick Handsome.

Pornochic, as I wrote before, is very well done (I'm gonna get #3 too) but it's identical to Precious Pink, that Bodilis directs for Hustler.
The Marc Dorcel dvd's are excellent, though: full of extras, trailers and stuff.
Pornochic is distrubuted in the US by Wicked.

Ah, thanks, Walter - that makes sense. I stand corrected. Still wonder if he's the same guy that does the gay erotica, though.

Hervé Bodilis has switched indifferently from straight to gay videos for some years now. He has a very simple, clean style, and is not afraid to move his camera. I agree with the early Private comparison. His gay videos for Body Prod can be found at www.iem.fr.

Over the time I registered different camerman from different countries: some speak French, some Magyar,... is anyone of them supposed to be famous?
That's why I like mathematics. Didn't know. Thanks, Sbando.

Yes - this Pornochic series looks good. I've only seen trailers so far (for vols 2 and 3) but I intend to buy both once my credit card has recovered from its battering over the festive period.

Lots of lingerie and condom-free can only be a good thing in my book!

Handsome directed the High Octane series right? I've just seen one and it was pretty bland, nice girls but uninspired directing, run of the mill porn.

I just got the Professianals from Hustler (nice that one) and it's got a trailer for one of the latest Precious Pink (11 or 12?) frankly when you see the frankentrailer you don't wanna see the frankenfilm with vulgar looking girls wearing positively ugly make up, yuk!

As with Precious Pink (but I've only seen one of them)I feel that High Octane has the problem of East European aesthetics...

Sbando,
did you get Pornochic no.3 ? Is the covergirl the Chrystal mentioned in the credits? Should I know her from somewhere? Is she also the Chrystal in PP 12?
Contributions from other people are also welcome.

No, not yet.
But I'm going to buy it because Passion's in it and because *I want the M. Dorcel Calendar!* (that Nop already has, btw).

It's the Passion that started with PW (Arsenic,...)...
So you don't know about Chrystal yet because you haven't seen PC 3? Why should I need the Dorcel Calendar?

I'm not even sure if it's the same Passion.
But I enjoyed the previous Pornchics and I'll definitely get #3 too.

I don't know Chrystal. It's hard to tell, with Handsome, because he gives the girls new names each time.

The Calendar is full of pretty babes!
