Last time we got 2 g/g performers jumping into b/g and getting a contract out of it (people recognize Eva, but Abigail Mac ended up with a 6-8 month Mindgeek contract as well). For me, the worst possibility last time was Eva winning and ,of course, she did. Maddy O'Reilly would make no sense. She's done it all, nothing would seem fresh. Just looking at the list, maybe Veronica Vain. DP stories have plots and she could handle the dialogue. Plus, she has an interesting back story. Samantha Rone and Kendall Kayden are popular cuties and should get plenty of votes. Might be a good thing for Teal Conrad, she has faded out of porn sight. [Link]

In other words, they want to lock down a popular, rising girl before she blows up and keep a monopoly on her. Ella Hughes, for example, wouldn't win because she is pretty much a monopoly with Mindgeek in the US (the only top American company to shoot her is Brazzers and Digital Playground, who both shoot in Britain) so she is nearly exclusive even if she doesn't win. The same could be said of any of the European contestants. She basically has taken an entire year off from porn after only one year in the industry. Would be a shame if she got rewarded for that with a DP contract. When the closed the voting page, Eva Lovia was in 4th place and Veronica Rodriguez was in 3rd. When they announced the final 3, Eva was included and Veronica wasn't. Then, the night of the announcement (which was made at the end of a live show that Eva got the most attention in), all of the judges went to dinner with Eva, and the other two finalists (August Ames and Alexis Adams) were nowhere to be found. That, and Mindgeek's fuckery with the Twisty's Treat of the Year competition, is why everyone is fairly sure that the whole thing is rigged, and they've probably already decided who's going to win. For so many girls to be clamoring for this, there has to be some kind of upside right? It seems it works best for G/G performers looking to crossover. Without that hook, it loses a lot of appeal. Because if a B/G performer's output dropped that much, it would only hurt her career once the contract is up. To Aya I agree with the GG Performers who crosses Over. The best example for me are Eva Lovia. If Darcie Solce ein so goodbye GG. Then the Companies can release Darcie's over 20 GG Scenes. Then for me are GG Scenes from Playground GG Scenes are waste of time. The Girls are but the Scenes are not. Just like last year. I remember that Maddy O'Reilly was on the list, so was Kendall Kayden (was certain she will be on the list as her sister did few scenes for DP already), some Cam girl newcomer forgot the name, and few others also. Did DP decided against them and picked who they wanted when more applicants came, or was there some sort of voting who should get a chance to go to the judges or something? (even though I myself also believe it is rigged since start like last season, I mean come on, 5 girls to pick and when they picked them they said, although we picked the top five we couldn't leave this one out aka Eva Lovia, then the top 3 where she was 4th suddenly passes into top 3 on some magical way. It's probably rigged, but I'm still watching it :P Most likely it is a girl that is high in demand, but hasn't "worked" in too many studios. someone who has a lot of followers, but hasn't shot many scenes. I guess the gain in B/G fans will more than offset the loss of the G/G ones. And the fans who vote for her will want to see her doing Anal, dp's, and hardcore and rough sex scenes with certain performers, but they won't get that with Digital. And after she does a small number of vanilla B/G scenes, her contract will be up and she can go back to G/G. Genius. [Link]

She only has to look at the careers of Vanessa Veracruz, Celeste Star, Ryan Ryans, Taylor Vixen and Shyla Jennings and more recently Jenna Sativa to see that being a G/G only girl can be successful and that the notion that she has to switch to B/G to elevate her status isn't the be all and end all. As Abigial Mac said "B/G is about performance, G/G is about Passion." Any hot chick can get some attention doing G/G for a little while, but if she isn't good enough she won't last. It's a lot easier to have a successful career by going B/G. And Darcie IMO is not on the level of the ladies you mentioned. [Link]
