I just got finished watching Digital Playground's dptonight.com broadcast, and I am concerned about the portrayal of African Americans during the broadcast. Specifically, the bit at the end when "Montel", putatively the director of the series "Jack's Playground" appeared ( shown as a black imitation phallus only) and spoke in Ebonics during the entire broadcast.

I know that Digital Playground never shows African Male/Caucasian Females scenes during their films, but I thought that it was due to legal considerations since their lawyer is Paul Cambria. After watching the Montel skit, I am beginning to think that the company has a negative view of African Americans in general.

Does anyone know the contact information for Adara or other spokesperson at DP who can comment on this?

I caught the show last night and the ending segment with Montel was hilarious, especially when Jesse Jane kissed Montel. It was so funny that they let it run and they were 10 minutes past their 11:30pm cut off.

Check out Jack's Playground #4

"Montel" isn't the director of Jack's Playground (Robby D. is), he's a character in the series. If you haven't seen the titles, Jack's Playground pokes fun at EVERYBODY...even Elvis...so they're equal opportunity when it comes to comedy.

And for the record, Digital Playground has had at least one interracial scene in their movies. Mr. Marcus was in "All Star" with Rebecca Lord.

I feel you may be being over sensitive, often a strand of humour is injected into porn films, and this can take the form of playing up ethnic as well as physical characteristics. In fact Porn is one of the few areas where race still plays a big part, certainly in terms of how it is portrayed. Race and ethnic qualities are a big part of sexual taste and desire.

All Star was released back in 1999. I can't fnd any African Male/ Caucasian female scenes filmed by DP since Ashcroft took office.

Everybody has their own taste in comedy, and some people like crude, ethnic jokes. It is a major turnoff to me so I think I will take a pass on the "Jacks's Playground" series if it contains that brand of humor. Thanks for the warning.

Just curious here...
Most black-themed movies also stereotype black men as having huge dicks. Are you planning on contacting those studios about stereotyping black people that way or is is okay to stereotype that way?

I indicated in a previous thread that I preferred normal sized penises. In fact, I sent a letter a couple of years ago to Christain Mann about using more normal sized and better looking actors in their movies. I don't know if it had any effect though, since all the new African male talent to enter the industry lately, like Maxx Blacque have been pretty well hung.
Thanks Rog for the advice. I actually had already made it a point to avoid most of the IR Gangbang titles of Devils Films and Jake Steed's Monster series.

I also agree with your assesement of the Cambria list.
