Hi all,

I was just browsing, saw a title I thought I might want to buy "Welcom to Chloeville 2," listed as a bargain at $14.99. However, when I click on the Kickback icon, it shows up for $15.99. If I click on the "Buy" Icon, it is only $14.99.

I did not order the item, I'm not foolish. But I feel this is a mildly underhanded thing for DVD Advantage to do and I doubt they will be getting any of my business in the future.

Does this practice seem fair to any of you?

It's just a technical bug. If you go one screen forward to check out, the price is $14.99

No store has any reason to alter prices through the kickback program, as it does not cost them anything.

Great, I went back today to get it and they raised the price. I guess that's how they chose to fix it. So much for that, ah well, I didn't really need it.

The same thing happen when posted a mismatch in S&H
for dvdempire. The fix was to increate the S&H. Sucks

If they are deliberately manipulating prices than that is unfortunate. I seriously doubt that this is the problem. Remember though, their prices are usually significantly cheaper than competitors, so if they raised prices modestly, you are still getting a great deal, with kickback to boot. The price is not the issue. Will they spam you with adult leaflets after you make a purchase? Adultdvd assures that any of the companies they advertise are not allowed to behave this way. As such, I think they are a fine choice to do business with.

I give up.
Went again today, for a different title and... I was unable to log in via the kickback link. I was able to get to my profile, I was able to get to Five Star via the kickback links. I just could not get to DVD Advantage. I tried a couple of different browsers, nothing worked. So.... I gave up and gave my business to five star.
