Each time I try to burn with Nero 6, the damn thing freezes.
Could it be that Win98 doesn't mix well with the new Nero version or because I have two burners on the same IDE channel ?

More likely it is the amount of memory (or lack thereof) in your system and Win98SE's poor ability to manage it. I've also seen problems occur where there was insufficient disk space, but with enormous hard drives these days that is less a problem.

Suggestions: rather than using Nero's all-inclusive interface, run only the module you want to use and do not load InCD unless you need it.

Thanks GS
I thought with 512Mb memory, it will be enough to manage burning DVD. A friend of mine advise me to switch to WinXP.

Yes, 512MB of RAM should be enough. Unfortunately, Win98SE is not an exceptional memory manager. You might find you have better luck if you reboot before starting a recording session.

Win XP includes a lot of MS bloat. My personal preference is to go with Win2K Pro -- identical operating system (despite MS claims) with less gimmicks.

Maybe I should close all Windows programs running before starting a burning session ?
