Greetings, one and all.

I'm new to this forum, but hardly new to porn. I would like feedback from other readers regarding defects that I've found consistent and specifically to one label: Evil Empire. I'm not trying to disparage their name, in fact, I love just about everything I've owned from Evil Empire, being a huge fan of Jules Jordan, Joey Silvera and John Leslie.

The problems I refer to apply only to U.S. editions. I avoid import versions, but that's another story. The problems involve severe freeze frame, ranging from a few seconds, to entire chapters being inaccessible from whatever point access is attempted (main menu, fetish menu, page forward, etc.). Sometimes the problem exists right out of the wrapper, sometimes the problem starts all at once after use, sometimes slowly, getting worse over time. The disc surfaces are always flawless (new, or kept that way through delicate care).

A couple of people have told me that it's my player, though it's a top of the line Sony, and I've not had this problem with any other adult or main stream label, out of a combined collection of several hundred titles.

Has anyone else shared this experience? I've been able to get an exchange for most titles, though this can be a hassle, especially if the purchase isn't made through a storefront retailer, or a large, mainstream online retailer. To date, this has happened with seven Evil Empire titles.

xdavex,

Welcome to the forum.

I've moved your topic to the Tech Talk section. This is where we normally talk about problems of this nature and I think you'll be more likely to get an answer here.

There have been problems with some Evil Angle titles. It appears that the majority of problems that I have seen have been after the layer change. You should discuss these problems with Tricia Devereaux. You can find her e-mail address in the members section. Let her know what titles that you have problems with, specifically what the problems are and the model of your DVD player.

I have approx 5/6 of their titles though all bar one are UK R18 (Hasrmony) versions. I have not experienced any such problems - even with the original - US imported disc I have.

I have only experienced this type of problem with european copies of original titles and with 1 Uromania title - though this curiously has problems in one of my DVD Players (A Pionerr multi region), but is OK in the other - a Panasonic.

Maybe , despite your assertion, your player may also be contributing to these issues.

Although I did have a problem with a few EA discs a few years ago with a Toshiba player, I've not run across an Evil Angel disc yet that my 2002-model Sony 5-disc changer won't play.

Just an update I have now had an RLD title go wierd on me. Straight to the A 1. I've had it some months, not played it much, when I have it's been perfect and now all of a sudden it will only play app 1st 10-15 secs of Belladona scene and then locks up ?

Anyone know what causes this and if any cure ?

So much for DVD, maybe we should go back to VHS !!!

A friend of mine had an older Sony decent quality player and had a similar problem. A few discs started locking up, then after about six months, all discs started locking up. He never did find out what was wrong with the player, he just went out and bought another one. His problem was with the Sony player though, the discs themselves were fine.

I've purchases several Evil Angel DVDs. And so far have encountered problem with one DVD. If I remember correctly, it was Ass Worship DVD. But since I bought it at AdultDVDEmpire, I was able to get it exchanged since I found it within 30 day period.

On the other hand, I also have problem with another title by a different label: Metro's Les Vampyres. At first when I bought it from AdultDVDEmpire, I noticed some sound problem and scenes wound be skipped. Recently, when I tried to play it again, it wouldn't work on any of my DVD Players. But since I've found the problem only after 30 day period, I can no longer exchange the defective disc. Very annoying.
