Actually, I placed 2 orders (one was for dvds in stock and the other was for out of stock items). Empire has been getting mixed reviews at various online forums lately so I figured I'd comment. The in stock items shipped quickly, with Empire upgrading the shipping for free Priority mail. The box arrived two days later and was well packed. 4 of the dvds were off their hubs (Private dvds don't use very good dvd cases so the blame, IMHO, lies with them). I have spot checked the dvds and they appear to be okay but I doubt Empire will give me grief if I have problems later. The second order has now shipped and I expect it soon. I separated the orders since Empire has had some problems with getting out of stock titles in the recent past-I had an order waiting for months last year with them (their Private sale went over too well so I used that order to "hold" a bunch of titles for me-the problem I had was in stock titles went out of stock in my order on a regular basis meaning they weren't holding titles for me as claimed). In any case, barring some unforeseen problem with my credit card being improperly charged, the second order being screwed up, my kickback being messed up or whatever, I will have to say they did well. I'd gladly buy all my dvds from a company that would: Mike, you aren't buying enough porn! I may cut back on buying dvds to pay off whatever debt I have/save for a house soon unless the prices stop going up. That'd cause Terry Thuang a scare (he runs the mainstream dvdpricesearch.com which I use a lot for my purchases). [Link] |
