Does anyone know if the adult DVDs that are for sale on DVD Overnight are new or ones that have been rented out before?

According to the [url=467769]terms of the sale</A, the titles are supposed to be brand new and factory sealed (though I'm not sure how you'd verify this, since studios don't put factory seals on their DVD packaging).

BadAssStu, damn good question. I was wondering this myself. I'll see if we can get someone from DVD Overnight to comment on it.
I spoke with the owner of another DVD rental company a few months back about this particular issue. He explained that a rental company quickly develops a "formula" for keeping the correct number of titles in stock. They rotate their rental inventory to meet the demand but never have to carry a lot of rental inventory. Many customers decide that they just want to keep the ones they like instead of returning them.
It's going to be real difficult to tell if a product is used or not. I have seen supposedly new product shipped directly from a studio that looks like it's been through a war. I'm not sure what the studios do with their defective returns. I suspect some of them may just re-shrink wrap them and resell them as new.

for your infromation i recieved my copy of flashpoint 2 weeks ago and it works great and was brand new from what i could tell have not had problems with them they are great!!

Guys this is way off topic..but I think that if adult companies sell used titles..there is a great way for them to protect them very well..that way they can make a good profit. Also individuals who trade or sell used discs..should use this product that I highly recommend. It's called cdplayright. It protects your investment..and you no longer have to worry. On top of this..scratches..light and some deep depending on what extent, can be fixed with the small cdplayright paks, that can restore the disc back to new. On top of this..the other product that comes with the whole deal, Quick Shield..it's a product that shields your discs with a coating that prevents dust from accumilating on the disc..and scratches. I suggest to those online stores who sell used discs..to use this product and individuals who sell or trade their used discs.

Damn this is a great forum, Nothing like getting a quick response, by the way I emailed DVDovernight and have yet to recieve a response (probably cause there off for the weekend). Well I think I'm going to go for it. AS long as the DVD looks new I'll be happy. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
