Does anyone have any idea what the quality of the playback would be? I am planning to buy a 8x ACER DVD drive for $98. has anyone had any experience with this drive? The Hollywood Plus and Creative Labs Dxr3 are both based on the same chipset. And have incredible quality. The Dxr3 I've seen for about $30-50. You need at least a 300Mhz processor to do Software Mode playing. and then you can only watch your DVDs at 64 hex 480 16bit color. IF you can find a kit that comes with the Decoder card it would be to your benefit. That way you can watch DVDs on your PC or TV. Hope this helped ------------------ [ invalid url ] [Link] |
