Good Afternoon everybody ,

I read in a recent post that some of you have had problems with little white specks on your dvd`s and they apparently can affect the quality of the picture.
My question is more related to VHS. I have over 200 titles, all on video. But i am worried that some of them may become affected . Can someone tell me if indeed VHS can deterioate over time i.e. picture / sound affected by heat, moisture, dust, electical charge ?

If so what measure can I take to protect my beloved videos?

Thanks

keep them in a cool dry place and keep them in the boxes, as heat will warp the tape, dust can clog it, vhs will deterioate over time no matter what you do really, but you can drastically reduce the affects by looking after them.

cheers vanish_062,
The reason I have so many vhs is because they are cheaper than dvd. Also I normally duplicate the videos and exchange them for half the price for other titles at my local shop in Soho, London. DVD`s are really expensive, how and at what price can I copy DVD to DVD or to VHS? cheers mate

samurai,
Illegal duplication of videos or DVD's is not a topic that is permitted at ADT.
