In an effort to free up space and also preserve them in a digital format I thought it was about time to jump on the DVD writing bandwagon . So far I've just made VCDs but having looked into it a little it seems I'll need some new equipment . Firstly a TV capture card - the Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2 looks interesting . And also an external DVD writer - haven't any specific ideas yet . Something in the £90 ( $160 ) ballpark is probably what I'm after . So what do you guys recommend for someone who's on a budget and using a laptop ?  [Link] |
| cobalt60 Knuckle Dragger 2046 Posts 2/03 | Posted - Sep 3 2004 : 11:28AM Compare and contrast, but I've had great luck with Pioneer burners since the days of the A03, and always had a smooth and pleasant shopping experience with Meritline. Edited to add: you should be pleased with the Hauppauge device, if you get it. My experience with their products has always been pleasant, but, of course, YMMV. Surprisingly they did have the WinTV PVR in , but were charging £200 for it ! More than twice the price of amazon UK . [Link] |
