This is not the first time it happened to me. Check out one of the DVDs I ordered: Balls Deep in Jasmine St. Claire's Asshole (URL: http://www.dvdadvantage.com/ProdDetail.asp?SKU=eur0470& ) It is still in stock according to the website (at 5:20 pm EST, 8/1/2001). But it didn't arrive with my order. I also got a blank email message the following day (after I placed an order) from DVDadvantage. I don't know the significance of the blank email. Shouldn't they let us decide about our orders? Shouldn't they ship the out of stock DVDs once they are available at no extra cost to the customer? Shouldn't they update their website reflecting exact stock status? This sucks!!!

Hmmm, I know how disappointed you are.Btw, I did 2 times order from them. 1st order come but (minus 1 DVD which out of stock) :( The same problem as you, the web site said it's in-stock, but actually it's out of stock. imho their stock indicator and status is not really online :( 2nd order, with bad experience from the 1st order, I decide to send them an email first before I put my order. I send them an email first, they confirm that all the DVD is in stock. Then I put an order online. The second order come perfectly :) [Link] |

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I've gotten every order I've placed with DVD Advantage. Each e-mail order confirmation, however, has been unreadable. I guess I didn't worry about it since I received everything I ordered. If something wasn't in stock, I wish that DVD Advantage would send an e-mail letting me know what wasn't there before it shipped. Normally when I order I order with a budget in mind since there's always porn I want to watch. Some times it's a tough choice between two titles. If one is out, I'd probably order something else. If it was the one main DVD I wanted but all the filler was there, I might cancel the order, but I know I'd have a lot better feeling about the store than if I just got the filler and not the one titile I really wanted. Michael, As someone who works in programming, I can just see your programming staff cringing and saying to each other "Did he just guarantee an implementation date to the public?!?!?"I'm betting that some weekend plans have changed for some of your programmers. [Link] |

Another issue is: DVDAdvantage doesn't give the money back for cancelled items unless I send email and follow it up atleast 3 times.. It happened with my first order and I got my refund after 2 months abd after sending 3 email messages. Now it's already a week and there is no word about refund. The invoice I received along with the order is signed and the out of stock item is marked by a humanbeing. Why can't they just do the refund before shipping? [Link] |

I'm with Astro on this one. I've ordered a lot from Advantage since they opened and have only had one or two titles out of stock on my orders. They only charged me for what they sent, not the original order, so it's not like it was that big a deal for me. If they did charge me for out of stock titles, I'd have called them on the phone to fix it (actually, on an early order, I didn't recognize a charge on my card and it was them-I called and straightened things out in no time).I've had a lot more problems getting matters straightened out with places such as Dvd Empire or Buy.com than Advantage but what would I know with my fairly large sized collections of both mainstream and porn??? Just wanted to congratulate Michael on the first step of his new site. Good luck on the inventory update. From what I can tell, Michael really cares about his customers. He was one of the first site owners to agree to help us with the exchange for Rocco's Initiations 3. He didn't even hesitate to say yes. Thanks. [Link] |

I noticed something earlier today. I suspect that there's an announcement coming soon.Testing 1 Testing 2 These links pull up our standard stock status check for two titles. You can always check stock status on an item by clicking the 'Check Stock' button at the top of any price search results page. Edited by - drew black on Aug 28 2001
