To any other Aussies on here: Where do you get your DVDs from? Other than brick and mortar places, I mean?
I ordered some DVDs from UncutDVDs.com.au (which seems to have the best selection) on July 15th and they haven't arrived yet. When I emailed them about it, I found out that they ship from the US and they tell me there was some kind of customs strike, which was why they hadn't arrived. That might explain a small delay, but almost a full month? I just ordered some books from Amazon with normal shipping a week and a half ago and they arrived on Monday.

somewhat offtopic, but I was curious as too how bad actual censorship is in Australia, when I first read your post my first thought was Australia customs confiscated it. I viewed an episode of AUS Front-line Security where a returning Australian vacationer had porn DVDs,the custom workers viewed them and out of 3 movies allowed the guy to keep only one. They didn't say what was prohibited content when they confiscated his other DVDs

I'm pretty sure they send a letter if that happens. They gotta make sure to tell you "BAD!" after all.
I would feel so much safer if they mailed to a distribution center in Australia and then forwarded it on to me.
And technically you're not supposed to get BDSM (which I got) and I think small boobs (which I got).

Thanks was curious on that. I frequent Digg alot which had tons of articles about censorship in Australia and I do remember reading about the small breast ban which I find very strange

Yeah, the utter gutlessness of our Government towards the church groups is just cowardly and frustrating.
I really wish I could speak some of the European languages so I could move.

I always order from overseas (mainly U.S.) beacuse I think Aussie sites are way too expensive and a lot of the time they may be censored and repackaged whereas from overseas they will be uncut. Main sites I have been ordering from lately are adultmoviesandtoys.com and erodvd.nl . Never had an issue with anything being confiscated however it is interesting that you mention a customs strike because I have been waiting on a delivery from adultdvdpacific.com for over a month but I have received package from adultmoviesandtoys.com within a few days, cause they use an express post option. Probably depends on how they post them as to if there is a delay or not. Do you know any more about this customs strike?

I haven't ordered from an Australian online site in years. I just found them far too expensive - although I would get the dvds in two or three days max! I think adultshop.com.au was the last Australian site I used.
US sites listed on ADT are usually cheaper, have the new releases and only take about two or three weeks to arrive in Australia in my experience. The only reason I would choose to order from an Australian site is if it is a dvd that is in that grey area where you have no fucking clue what the Customs guy is going to do on a particular day - such as dvds featuring flat-chested girls, girls in school uniform cosplay, any type of urination or bukkake, spanking or any light bondage. You can buy tons of that shit in Australia, but it is still a lottery ordering it overseas and trying to get it into the country.

Used to live in Australia, while there I ordered from Erodvd.nl and Dorcelshop with no problems, Dorcelshop has a buy one get one free offer at the moment. If you are interested in US porn, I'd order from Adult DVD Marketplace, they now have an international site.

I have no idea. That's just what they told me as a reason for the delay. Can't find anything on Google.
I've received several orders from Amazon in the time I've been waiting for these DVDs and not with express selected, either. Though my replacement Kindle that is being sent express does seem to be slow getting here.
But I don't know if I have any option other than to wait it out. If I ask for a refund and they do arrive later, I'd need to return them, wouldn't I? Or could I ask them to send the order again? Bloody frustrating.

If you are sent a replacement and the original package arrives later I would just email them and let them know and they will let you know how to return the package, usually you just mark it return to sender. That's what I will be doing.

Do you still buy from UncutDVDs.com.au? If they ship from the U.S. how long does it take to receive your order? Have you ever had any orders confiscated by customs? Thank you in advance for your reply.
