I was just passing through Soho yesterday and I thought I would pop into some sex shops and I went into the Private shop on the main "filth" road. They have quite a large selection of DVD's and video's for sale inthere for £20. They had stuff from Anabolic, Diabolic, Ben Dover and a massive collection of stuff from Evil Angel. Most of your usual titles in there, like Ass Worship 2, Euro Angels Hardball 12, 13 and 14 to name a few. Check it out if your in the area!!! SQUIDMONKEY [Link]

Its near Raymond Review Bar , they have a good selection of dvd's and magazine's , Private mag's and Hustler xxx , barely legel etc . All the dvd's were the R18's unfortuantly , I picked up North Pole 16 a while back for £19.99. [Link]

Fow a while they were cracking down on Soho and all it's shops and stripjoints etc, but know people have other things to worry about, as well as the realxation on certain adult products have meant that Soho is definately on the up. Here they say what was cut and why. Off course the release may have already been cut before it was passed to the censors. So for example Rocco Ravishes Prague 3 has 7 minutes cut, the reason being To obtain this category cuts of 7m 18s were required. The cuts were Compulsory. Cuts were required to remove degrading and dehumanising sexual activity (repeated, aggressive,deep thrusting into mouth causing gagging; head forced into urinal during aggressive fellatio) and sexual violence (man attacks woman as prelude to sex) from an R18 video. R18s can only be sold in licensed sex shops. I was in Chicago not long ago and visited their porn shops. This was a diasaster, They charged higher prices than the 20 GBP, and also charged a browsing charge of a dollar. [Link]

Hmmmm @Pornlord I'll have a look at this Harmony shop that you described and check it out. As for the Private shop, it's pretty cool in there, as there are loads of couples and young people in there, and it doesn't have this seedy feel to it, like some shops still do. The stuff you're seeing in the smarter shops (the licensed ones) will all be R18s for about 20quid. The seedier shops are selling the real thing usually for around 30-50 quid. As mentioned above, some R18s are cut, but for me the reason I avoid them is that they often don't have extras. For EA films, this is bad news. Also, the R18 discs sometimes lock out functions that the real thing will allow: A-B repeat, time-based positioning etc. I've had a couple of EA discs from Harmony, and they were fine except for the missing extras. Any cuts certainly didn't make the films tame. Still, EroDVD has the real thing for much less! [Link]

I have tried a few and www.blissbox.com is by far the best so far, it does not have the largest selection of films, but their customer services found the film I was looking for even though it was not on the site. The film was delivered in 3 days, which I thought was pretty good, and I have used this site again and again and so far I have not been disappointed. They also give alot more detail about the films they sell than I have seen anywhere else. Has anyone else used them and what do you think? [Link]

Moreover, the ones ive been buying from fivestardvd/lasersedge or where ever are the R18 US editions? I.e. hardcore. So now, you are saying that these are cut? Holy ShiT! So all the ones ive bought (spending hundreds) are all cut? In addition, to get those titles ive bought I have to go to another site? Like (where did u say) www.eurodvd.nl? The original film releases (i.e. uncut) of labels like Private, Hustler or Evil Angel are what you get when you buy from EroDVD or AdultDVDEmpire or Lasers Edge or any of those places. These are NOT officially legal in the UK and do not have BBFC certs, although in practice those of us in the UK can get them via the mail order places, OR via the UNLICENSED sex shops in Soho (they'll be around 30-50 quid in these shops). There are versions of these films that have been given R18 certificates by the BBFC (note: the term R18 is a UK classification only: it means nothing to other countries). Sometimes there will be minor cuts made to get the R18 cert and these are listed on the BBFC website. Often, the film is not cut at all and so an identical version to the original gets an R18 cert. Any R18 film can be got via some UK mail order places, or in the LICENSED shops in Soho (typically 20quid) or other towns. They are legal in the UK. There is sometimes an ordinary 18 cert version made of some films (e.g. Private titles) although these are massively cut due to the restrictions of 18 cert. They can be found in high street shops. Personally I wouldn't touch these with a bargepole. I think the above is correct - hope it clears some confusion. [Link]

R18 is part of the UK film classification system and applies to the UK. example: STAR WARS is rated U - this means the film (VHS/DVD or any other format) can be paid for and seen by everyone. BLADE is rated 18 - this film can only be purchased and viewed by those who are 18 years old and over. EuroAngels # 25 is rated R18 - this film (VHS/DVD or any other format) is ristricted , which means it can be viewed by those over 18 years old but can only be purchased from a licienced sex shop within the UK. The law UK states that R18 films can not be purchased via mail order. However - It is perfectly legal to buy hardcore films from outside the UK for your own viewing pleasure as long as the content does not contain acts that are classified as obscene by UK law (such as fisting). Bottom line - If you order from the US, you should be fine because the content in US releases are not as extreme as some films released in Europe. [Link]
