I'm trying to find adult films that come with digital copies on the DVD, so that you can put them on a portable device (i.e., an iPod or whatever). Thus far, I have the following: "Fallen" by Wicked Pictures and "O2" by Adam & Eve Anyone know of any others? For me, this is a great selling point for a title, as I am often traveling / on-the-go... (PS--sorry if this is a repeat topic--I did a search and don't think that it is)
Also wanted to add New Sensations' "The Office" also appears to have this (again, both DVD and Blu-ray versions). Must be something they're going to do with all their "big" titles.
^Not a fan of violating the copy protection and / or copyright...

So do you also buy one copy of something for in your car, and another for your home stereo, and another for on your iPod, and another for on your PC, and another for on your laptop???? Geeze, I hope not.
^^^ I'm not certain of the law, but it seems to me that what you describe falls well within what is permitted under Fair Use. If any of the movie companies wanted to go after someone for ripping a copy of a DVD that they purchased, rather than rented, so they could watch it on a different device, the company would lose. What you want to do is 100% reasonable. If it violates the law, it is an unjust law that should be challenged.
^I'm not really saying what is or isn't right or wrong... I'm just saying what my personal preference is and that I like it when companies provide the digital copy themselves. The area of whether changing the formats is or isn't a copyright violation is something of a grey area and one in which I am not well-versed enough to speak definitively... the same goes for the act of over-riding copy protection... I just personally don't feel as though it is something that I wish to do... even if it is silly or whatever... Hence, the existence of this thread.

For me, unless it's an "Event" release (such as Fashionistas, Lex The Impaler, etc) that's when I pony up the cash to order the DVD. Of late, I been ordering from Gamelink for iTunes/iPods ready movies. The drawback is companies like Jules Jordan, Justin Slayer, Anabolic and few other companies hasn't made the transition to digital format! DVS D
^I've purchased a few this way, too -- an Evil Angel one and a couple of Elegant Angel ones. It would be cool if they all were to make use of this option. That said, it's really cool to have both the DVD and a free digital copy. (I would love to see "Fashionistas" come out in a digital format.)
As long as you're not overriding copy protection, you're not violating any laws by converting a movie that you own to a different format. ^^^Actually, I like it this way because the digital copy is portable & it can be taken anywhere! For me, buying the DVD with it is a major selling point! I wouldn't buy Watchmen Director's Cut without it. I really don't buy DVD's like I used to plus I only have 3 Blu-Ray Discs & 1 Ultimate Matrix Blu-Ray Collection. I like the convenience of buy my movies from iTunes Store or Gamelink since they are easy to download & burn into a storage DVD for safe keeping. DVS D
All DVDs consist of digital audio and video entirely so you're basically asking for a glass of water that also contains water. Copy protection is null and void if you have the right to media backup and format conversion which is the case for loads of countries. Unfortunately, in the US, that's not true. Among other things, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act "criminalizes the act of circumventing an access control, whether or not there is actual infringement of copyright itself." In this case, "access control" is referring to any type of digital copy protection. It's a shitty law. But it is the law. On the other hand, this portion of the DMCA really isn't the part that's being enforced.

Thanks for the info, Bill. I thought that I had heard something about the act of going around the copy protection--whether for fair use purposes or not--possibly being illegal. I don't agree with the law, but--as you said--it is the law.
Generally: It is also far more convenient to have the digital copy just "there" on the DVD than to have to go through the process of changing the formats, etc., etc. I have done this for personal DVDs (i.e., my sister's wedding), and it takes some time (at least on my machine with my programs)... It is--and will continue to be--a big selling point for me.
