I've recently had 2 lots of XXX DVD's lost in the post. I ordered them from a reputable supplier and had them send without covers and they have gone missing, never arrived. Any other members having similar problems? I am based in UK.

Why would they be in your post?

What does "send without covers" mean? As in, the cover art is fully exposed to whoever is handling the mail?
If so, I'm surprised this doesn't happen to you more often.

"Send without covers" means just the DVD's without the boxes. And in the UK a lot of porn goes missing in the mail, I think some mailmen must have a very nice collection by now.

Yes, I have also started losing packages of late. A sad indication of the worsening financial crisis, perhaps - postal staff having to nick porn to get by.

Who is the reputable supplier? I haven't had any problems getting my stuff to Holland from various stores in Holland and in the UK like play.com

Nothing to do with the financial crisis, they have been stealing porn for as long as we are in business (21 years), it's for their own use. It was worse in the VHS days though, tapes were more conspicuous.

Yes, as you say it's a sad indictment of the Postal service. I did mean "sent without boxes" for the benefit of those who were confused. The company I usually order from is erodvd.nl. They are very good, and they pack them very well, taping the dvd's inside 2 envelopes and sticking everything together so that it takes quite a lot of work to unpack them - and the envelopes look very innocent, apart from the Netherlands stamp. Sadly, though some of them still go missing.

^The post office probably has some kind of an x-ray device that can see through the packing material. Which means that you can't hide your porn DVD's from them.
Your best bet is to download movies over the internet. But I imagine this freedom won't last forever either. Sooner or later they will start blocking the internet too. Many non-European countries have already been blocking internet porn and other internet information for years.
Rumor has it that a German software company has designed and installed the internet censorship system in Saudi Arabia. The technology is certainly out there. And sooner or later some politicians will decide to use it in Europe too.

^When the DVD's are sent within the same country. Then the post office doesn't check the mail nearly as much as it checks international mail coming from other countries. And that's what the original poster in this thread was talking about. He lives in UK. And he ordered his porn DVDs from the Netherlands.
