I don't know what Diabolic is doing, we have by far the most complaints on Diabolic titles.
There are series where we get 70% of all sent discs back as unplayable. Debauchery 9 for
instance or Panochitas 3 and 4.

| curl115 Member 6 Posts 5/01 | Has anybody else had trouble getting DVDs to work. I bought 5 DVDs lately. Two of them work perfectly - from Private and Elegant Angel. Two work after a fashion - both Diabolic titles - being very hard to get to load (you have to place the disc into the tray with the writing pointing in a certain direction, etc). Even then they are prone to pixillate (one of them very badly). The final DVD - Sunshine Films - failed to load at all and had to be sent back. Luckily the company I bought them from (adulteyecandy.com) was very helpful and I replaced the DVD with some videos without a problem. But I'm told that adult DVDs not working properly is quite a common problem and was wondering if anyone else had experienced it - and if so which companies DVDs are good or bad for this. I'm wanting to buy some DVDs from abroad but am worried about doing this in case I experience similar problems. Can anybody offer any advice? [Link] |

| curl115 Member 6 Posts 5/01 | The Diabolic titles are Lewd Conduct #6 which is a little fiddly but if persevered with works perfectly adequately and Debauchery #6 which is frankly a nightmare. Often takes about 20-30 attempts at placing the disc in at exactly the right position before I can get it to run at all. When it does more often than not it starts running then jumps to a scene in the middle of the movie. Trying to use the menu requires the patience of a saint. Even when it is running as best it ever does it pixillates horribly. I only kept this DVD because I intend to upgrade my computer shortly and will be getting one with a DVD. I was hoping that the DVD might work properly on this. Anyone know if this is the case? Think I'll steer clear of Anabolic/Diabolic DVDs from now on in any case which is a pity and seems a very poor state of affairs for a well-established company like that to have created. Thanks for all advice and assistance. |

In my opinion ( and if you check these forums with regard to discs not playing properly -- try using the search facility on this subject), some labels don't produce discs that every player will play. If you buy non-adult discs aswell, you will also find this may be an increasing problem as distributors put more features into discs and more protection. These film companies can more afford to produce high quality DVD productions whereas some adult distributors can't afford to produce their titles to this "perfect" standard. Hence, some titles won't play in some players. Also, multi-region players and region-free machines and discs may clash from time to time. My opinion, stick with the bigger DVD labels (usually -- my copy of "Still Insatiable" still won't play on my Samsung, beyond the layer change. It does in my Wharfedale), as these are usually more reliable. Ask questions here as regards some of the labels you want to try and others who have bought from them will tell you whether they will play in your machine or not. Finally, I suppose it's just luck in the end. Remember, DVD is still a new medium and you may stiil have problems, no matter what! Hope this helps. |
