I would suggest you make a complaint to the trademark owner but that studio might be too small for them to even care. I notice they even put "HD" on their covers ![]()

For instance, Alfa Red Productions has "DVD" covers with the standard "DVD-Video" logo and no evidence of physical discs to go with them. By definition, a DVD is supposed to be a disc. Here at ADT, a recent check showed that Alfa was offering 444 movies, and no apparent discs available to purchase. You can call a scene "DVD Quality" but you cannot truthfully call a collection of VOD scenes a DVD-Video, especially when using the standard logo. This should not be tolerated. Despite all of the supposed "DVD-Video"s, not one corresponding disc from Alfa was to be found at adultempire, cduniverse, xrentdvd or adultdvdmarketplace. I get how some original DVDs (discs) are offered as downloadable data, but you have to have a physical disc first, a true DVD. Also, a DVD collector would be on a wild goose chase! I checked several of these individually at iafd and there were lots of VOD/streaming/download options, and no discs. As you probably know, the "HD" designation appears on many other studios' DVD covers. Or, relatedly, the statement that the videos on the disc were Shot in HD, thereby suggesting to a potential buyer that the scenes are somehow available on the DVD in higher-than-DVD quality. Thanks again. |

You can make an ISO, which is good, but I find that the downloaded files are never up to the original VOB quality. Having the original VOB files is something like having a collection of mint-condition stamps for a given country! |
