I rented Jungle Love and the time-search on my JVC
would not work on this Dvsx title.It also would not
work on Double Parked 2 either anyone else have a problem
with these titles.

Is time-search meaning FastForward?

Because if so, I had a similar problem with Cream Filling, where I couldn't FastForward. I remembered a trick I read here, by pushing A B repeat 'til you see canceled, you should be able to FastForward, though I am not sure if this is the solution to your problem.

I've encountered several DVDs with which I could not advance to a specific time. It seems that the people creating DVDs often don't know how to use the mastering software and accidentally (or maybe even on purpose) disable any number of DVD features in the process of proving that they could not (or would not) read the directions.

Often this is a case of a lack of a time code, I don't know if that is the answer here or not as I haven't seen that disc. If there is no time code, the player can't go to a specific time.

Connie mentioned this before. their first movies didn't have the time code. So no skipping around the DVDs. =(

There's one solution that may work but requires a computer. But you probably know what that means, and discussions of that are too iffy here.

A time code lets the player know where in the movie you are. To search via time, there has to be a time code in place on the disc. Some discs are manufactured without time codes (on my player a JVC XV-511, discs without time codes instead of giving the film position, which they normally do, will just say 'play'). VCX and Adam & Eve have released many titles without time codes on them along with mainstream companies like A&E. Without a time code, you are SOL on time searching. The best bet would be to use the chapter menu in these cases. I hope this answers your question better.

yes, some of our earlier titles have this disability and we were notified of it early on. since then we've taken on different dvd authorers to try to avoid this problem on new titles. being a new company, we have much to learn. things could be going along fine, but every once in a while, someone drops a bomb on you. so to this day, we are working with yet another new authorer (and replicator for that matter) in order to further improve our dvds.
